Giveaway! I love my quilted bags, do you want one?
I have been holding and hoarding these bags, I love them and I want to keep them all to myself. But to save me from my greedy self I am going to part with one.
Giveaway guidelines!
So, do you want the Posh Quilted Bag? Leave a comment, tell me your favorite bag and who sent you then leave your email if you don't have a blog for 1 entry into my giveaway.
Want 2 entries? Blog about this post on your blog.
5 entries? Snag my button from the right and put it somewhere lovely, make sure to tell me you did it. (Just copy the code and paste it in your blog).
I am giving away my Posh bag to one of you lucky persons through a random drawing. And...
I have one more bonus! To the person that gives me the most referrals through their blog I am going to give them a quilt bag kit to make the bag of their choice. (When you tell your friends, make sure to tell them, to tell me, you sent them). Included in the kit is my "Quilted Bag" pattern, the fabric for the bag including the lining so you can quilt it yourself.
Good luck! You have until midnight Friday, February 27th.

A few things....
I just finished machine quilting this quilt for a lady late last night. I did the border a little different because I wanted it to look like a frame around the quilt. I hope I got that effect.

You know you're a quilter when...............
...your kid takes your quilt to school for show and tell. (What a nerd)
...your kids' dinner place mat is your rotary cutting mat.
...your shower drain is clogged with thread, not hair. (Ewww!) ...your one year old's first word (only word) is "bobbin." ...you have a different quilted bag for every pair of shoes.
...you have made your own bra with fabric scraps.
...your little girl is learning how to read from your quilting magazines. ...you have piles of fabric on top of the laundry. (that will never be folded) ...you wake up with a needle in your hand. ...your vacuum stops working because the brush is full of thread. ...you consider making a diaper out of scrap fabric. (That's a stretch) ...you wake up at 2:00 AM with a great quilt idea. ...you wake up your husband to tell him.
So how many of these are true for any of you? I know they're all true for me (well, most of them). My husband loves the last two. He's always the one that has to listen to my ideas, and pretend to understand what I'm talking about when I describe my next project to him.
I am currently preparing for my next great giveaway, I would show pictures, but it's a surprise. Stayed tuned and have a wonderful day!

Flight of a Fairy
I have here my newest pattern design called "Flight of a Fairy." I blogged about it here. This new design depicts a fairy flying throughout the quilt. I chose green and pink as the main colors because I love that color combination, I do a lot of pink and green quilts, but this quilt would be beautiful in any color combination. This pattern is so much fun and would be great for all you fairy fans out there. You can get the pattern here.Oh, you have to check out this blog: Cristie the winner of my quilted bag giveaway has a picture with her and my bag. I love it, so check it out and you can see how cute she is with the bag hanging on her shoulder.
I am currently working on something fantastic, but will not be able to show you for a couple days. Keep watching because I may just have another great giveaway!

A quilter's confession...
Here's a little window into my quilting life. I confess, I am not neat. Fabric, thread, pins and scissors are pretty much everywhere. My dinning table is my sewing table and my kids are lucky if they don't get thread in their food.
If there is a flat space, my "stuff" is there. My ironing board needs help! Luckily the ironing board (a gift from my husband) is pretty big so I still have room to iron my quilt pieces.Thursday, February 5, 2009
I'm working on something.........
You know when you are quilting something and you just aren't sure what it is going to look like and you are not sure you will like it? Well, that was the case with this quilt, but when I pulled it off the machine I loved it.
I have to say that quilting is one of my favorite things to do. It is so great. I would show the whole quilt, but it is my newest design and you can't see the whole thing until my pattern is finished, so stayed tuned. I'll give you a hint on the theme of the quilt, it has to do with my company name. Any guesses? Wednesday, February 4, 2009
Some things I love...
I love graph paper. I use graph paper to start a new quilt design and in this case I used it to figure out how many numbers to use in my random drawing for my giveaway. As you can see, or not if it is too small; the columns on the left represent the comment number and the numbers to the right represent the numbers assigned to the comment. I had 131 comments (looks like more, but there were more than one comments from a few of you) and twenty-eight of you qualified for 5 entries. That made a total of 243 entries. Comment 102, number 196 won the random drawing.
Congratulations to Cristie from Arlington, Washington.
I would like to thank you all for commenting and entering the drawing, my first giveaway I am happy to say was a success. Please check back often for my quilting tips, new designs and great giveaways. Take Care----------- Judi
Oh, in case you are wondering, I use Superior Thread, So Fine! for my quilting.
And I have fabric on my website here. Check it out!
