Last week my daughter looked at me and said, "Mom, you always, always, always, always have to make a quilt." I smiled and told her that she was right, I am always making a quilt. So, making a last minute decision we came down here to Indio, California. Not bad huh? The resort is beautiful. At first I was going to bring my sewing machine, but my husband said "no way, you are going to relax."
So, here I am relaxing with the kids, trying to not think about my next quilt design and missing my sewing machine. It's not too hard. I love the time we have had with the kids. Well, gotta go and play some more with the kids. I will announce the
bag and kit winner on Saturday.

Sounds like alot of fun!!! I am sure your sewing machine needed a break too.
So glad you and the family are getting a mini-vacation! It is great to get-a-way!
Hehe, you're like me. We were away over Christmas and I so badly wanted to take my sewing machine along. Thankfully, I was able to get into a knitting project, so that kept me company while my machine had a vacation too :).
I'd surrender my sewing machine for that sun!! We have snow here, and I'm ice bound, so getting plenty done!
I bet your sewing machine didn't miss you....glad you had a good time on your mini vacation.

What a beautiful resort. It shouldn't be too hard to relax and enjoy there...but I know what you mean about missing the sewing machine. When my health allows, I ride as a passenger on our Goldwing Touring Bike and I have yet to figure out a way to carry it. My husband offered and alternative, saving a little room with my packing and stopping at quilt shops along the way. Works for me!!! Have a great time playing with the kids and relaxing.
