Hi Everyone! I hope you are well. I just got back from a trip to Lousiville, KY at Angela Huffman's Quilted Joy Studio. What a wonderful experience that was. I felt so welcome and I really enjoyed meeting so many wonderful quilters. Angela is the perfect host and the studio ran so well!
Here I am with the fabulous Angela! She is so nice, I had a great time getting to know her better.
It was really fun seeing students finished projects of my iquilt class, Quilting Makes a Difference. Angela had them hanging for our viewing pleasure. They did a wonderful job on their projects!
I taught Wednesday through Saturday, so it was busy and I was tired, but thankfully I was able to get out and see the city on Saturday night. The bridges over the Ohio River were amazing. I wish I could have gotten better pictures, but we were in the car.
Angela showed us the home of the Louisville Slugger, that was really neat. The bat is huge! So much fun learning a little history about their city.
My fabulous sister Amy, also known as my "Sistant" was so fun to have on this trip. She is a riot and she keeps me going. She knows what I need before I need it and I couldn't travel without her! Love you girl! We had fun walking through a 24/7 museum. This tornado was made out of everything, it was pretty awesome to look at.
I loved the beautiful setting in this room. These portraits were abandoned places, I forgot to get the name of the photographer, this picture doesn't do them justice. They were quite remarkable.
Of course, I couldn't travel to teach if it weren't for this guy. He is amazing and I can not imagine life without him. He runs our business, takes care of the kids and always makes sure my luggage is paid for and also makes sure I am checked onto every flight. He is so amazing in so many ways, I just hope he knows I grateful I am to him for all he does for me and our little family.
Since getting home I have been able to get more of my quilt finished. I have decided on a name for this quilt, it will be called "Free Spirit," and the pattern will be available soon. I can't wait to share the finished project with you all!

Looks like a fun trip, and as usual your quilting is amazing. I don't do facebook or instagram (don't have a smart phone) so I hope you'll keep stopping by your blog. Thanks for the lovely photos and tour.
Thank you for sharing your wonderful adventure, Judi
