Cover Girl and some exciting work!

American Quilter
It is always a wonderful feeling to be asked to contribute to a magazine, but an even better feeling when you end up being Cover Girl.  My quilt, "This Way" is being feature in the March 2017 American Quilter magazine.  This pattern is found on the CD Rom on new book, Secondary Designs with Judi Madsen, but for March - you can find the piecing instructions in the magazine.

I shared more of this design here. I hope you enjoy making it as much as I did.

Okay, so my newest design, not named yet - is in the works and I absolutely love it.  This is going to be a fabulous pattern that will release in a month or so.  I can't wait to share it with you.  It does take me a while to get these amazing patterns out, much like my Bohemian quilt, but it is always worth it.

As you can see, the quilting is taking me a bit of time.

3
I love close ups of my quilting.  Proof that it is hand guided ruler work mixed with a little free motion quilting.

4
The secondary design in this quilt is amazing and I really can't wait to see it all finished.  I am almost halfway through the quilting.

And, it's that time of year.  My first teaching trip will be in Louisville, KY - info here.  I'll be there next week.  Should be a lot of fun.

Also, those of you who want to hang out in Salt Lake City should come and join me in 1 or all of my 11 lecture/demo classes at the HMQS/UQSM show, info here.  Just find my last name, MADSEN for all of my classes on the 4th of May through the 6th.

I hope to see you there!

Dear Judi

Thank you for all your beautiful quilting! You inspire us all. If I had one wish, I would want you to quilt all my tops, they would all be works of art!

Keep on Quilting.

Maggie
