Me and my sister made a quick trip up to Salt Lake to go to my brother's temple wedding. It was short notice, so we had to make it a quick trip. We drove up Thursday morning and came home Friday morning. It was an amazing trip and one trip I won't forget. This sweet lady picture above is the one who encouraged me to write up my patterns. She just kept saying, "write it up, Judi" - so naturally I had to hand deliver her my book. We worked at the Fabric Center in West Jordan together for a couple of years and that was seriously the best job in the world at the time. I am so grateful to her for believing in me.
Temple Square in Salt Lake is hard to beat in December. I have said this before, but it is still true - you need to see it in person. It is so beautiful and this picture doesn't even capture a fraction of the amazing Christmas lights. I had the best time with my mom and dad and siblings, I am so grateful for my family.
The best part of going up to Salt Lake is going home. I grew up here and it will always be home to me. I walked out of my parents house to see the amazing orange sunset (this picture does not give it justice) and I just had to take the picture. Life is wonderful! Seriously.
On another happy note, I finally finished a quilt. I will share the whole quilt next week. Stay tuned.

Great post about your trip. Love your co-worker who encouraged you.
Beautiful pictures, Judi!! I have seen the Temple at Christmas time and it is spectacular!! And "home" looks wonderful!!
You are right, Judi, the Temple Square is spectacular - any time of year. I remember most the wall of one building that made a mirror reflection of the mountains... hard to imagine any other building could draw your attention away from the Temple, but that did...
Красивые фото площади:)
Всегда с удовольствием смотрю на ваши новые работы, так что ждем :)
Once again publicly this time....I love your book!
Look at all that pretty snow, it's a hot hot summer here in NZ already.
Congrats to your brother!
Isn't it wonderful to have someone who believes in you? Such a gift and I know she was pleased to see you succeed.
Smiles,
Kelly
Gratitude for the supportive people in our lives brings a deeper appreciation for life. So glad to read of your friend's encouragement. I am so happy for both of you.
I am also grateful to your young former co-worker who encouraged you! You bless so many of us with sharing your talent and knowledge!
I worked in fabric stores too, and they seriously were the best jobs!!! And Fabric Center: it's not too far from my SIL's, so I've been there a few times and spent too much money!! :-P What lovely pics of temple square!! Thanks for sharing!! Hugs, H in Healdsburg
