Quick trip to Salt Lake

Me and my sister made a quick trip up to Salt Lake to go to my brother's temple wedding.  It was short notice, so we had to make it a quick trip.  We drove up Thursday morning and came home Friday morning.  It was an amazing trip and one trip I won't forget.  This sweet lady picture above is the one who encouraged me to write up my patterns.  She just kept saying, "write it up, Judi" - so naturally I had to hand deliver her my book.  We worked at the Fabric Center in West Jordan together for a couple of years and that was seriously the best job in the world at the time.  I am so grateful to her for believing in me.

Temple Square in Salt Lake is hard to beat in December.  I have said this before, but it is still true - you need to see it in person.  It is so beautiful and this picture doesn't even capture a fraction of the amazing Christmas lights.  I had the best time with my mom and dad and siblings, I am so grateful for my family.

The best part of going up to Salt Lake is going home.  I grew up here and it will always be home to me.  I walked out of my parents house to see the amazing orange sunset (this picture does not give it justice) and I just had to take the picture.  Life is wonderful!  Seriously.

On another happy note, I finally finished a quilt.  I will share the whole quilt next week.  Stay tuned.

You are right, Judi, the Temple Square is spectacular - any time of year. I remember most the wall of one building that made a mirror reflection of the mountains... hard to imagine any other building could draw your attention away from the Temple, but that did...
