Another quilt done!

I had a fun time quilting this quilt. I figured out the scallop border before I started quilting and then stenciled in the feather circle, then quilted around it. I think the baskets in the corners give the quilt a nice finishing touch.

Barb over at Bejeweled Quilts by Barb gave me the Kreativ Blogger Award! Thanks so much Barb! I will do my best to follow the rules and nominate other bloggers, but first I am going to come up with 7 things that you may not know about me and are somewhat interesting!

1. I have 5 brothers and 5 sisters! Bet you didn't know that!

2. I was Region Champion for 2 years in a row and 3rd in State for the 100 meter dash in High School Track. (It's been useful being fast watching my little kids!)

3. I have been to Dracula's castle in Transylvania, Romania. (I am going again in September)

4. I married my High School Sweetheart! Best decision I have ever made!

5. I think milk is the best beverage and I can drink a full gallon, (by myself) in a day.

6. I once held a chicken while it was being be-headed! (I am sure there are better stories than that out there, but it was pretty traumatic for me as a ten year old, I don't think I can ever forgive my brother for making me do that.)

7. Whenever I sneeze, I sneeze at least six or seven times in a row. My record is eight, believe me I know because Clint counts on his fingers whenever I start sneezing - he says I sound like a rabbit - but I have never heard a rabbit sneeze before.

Hope you enjoyed that! Only two more posts to go! Can't wait to show you what I have been working on and I bet you can't wait to see what I am giving away! Take care!

Oh, and all you who told me to "sell my mouse pads," you can get them "here!" Make sure you get them while they are still available!

Oh my gosh, the part about your sneezing... cracked me up! I wonder if a rabbit sounds like my cat... anyhow, next time you think youre going to sneeze start saying 'grapefruit'... it makes mine go away! LOL (no, really, it works for me!)
Your work on the quilt is beautiful... I just might have to send you one of my quilts to work on!

being a hand quilter I usually do not like machine quilting all that much but what you did with that quilt is amazing! Such wonderful work. Is that for you or someone else?
(I have you beat for brothers - I had 8 brothers and 3 sisters)

You did an absolutely fantastic job on the quilt. The quilt itself is just beautiful and the quilting also. You are one talented young lady. How do you do it and raise 3 kids? By the way where can I see the mouse pads you make. Somehow I missed seeing them

I'm a milk-a-holic too! I grew up on a dairy farm but I didn't like milk then. Once I discovered 2% it was a whole new ballgame!! I ran track also but wasn't as good as you. I love this challenge bz I always learn something new about people!

P.S. I almost forgot. The quilting on this is extremely beautiful! I can't believe how talented you are, no wonder you win prizes at quilt shows. This quilting sets off the whole quilt. Beautiful.

Your quilt is simply beautiful I just love it, the quilting around the borders and in the corners is so special, I have 4 brothers and 6 sisters and I hate milk.

Hey Judi...got in late last night. Though have a zillion and one things to catch up on I was checking email and thought I'd see what you were up to. The quilting is fantastic!! I'd love to see some close ups....I too have those blocks to make for my own quilt and love what you did with this one. I agree that the baskets in the corners really had interest. How many hours did you put into this one?...Is it yours?

Love the quilting you did on the new quilt. You are very talented.
Alas, however, I have you beat in the sneezing dept -- I have been known to sneeze 15 or more times in a row. It is something that runs in my paternal side of the family!

WOW! I love this quilt. I recently started quilting and have not seen the feather circle before and it's beautiful. Where can I get the pattern for it? You got me thinking 'cause I'm in the middle of a quilt and where can I use this circle on my border? Think, Think, Think.
