It's that texture that I just love!!!!

Beth's quilt

So, Beth's quilt again! I absolutely love it! The quilt pattern is "Snowball" from a Kaffe Fassett book. This quilt is some more simple custom quilting, by "simple" I mean not as many things going on. It's simply, texturally great! I didn't want to take away from the design or the fabrics in this quilt. So, the following pictures will show you what I came up with.

Swirls, loops and straight lines for the borders.

Free motion straight lines with a curve going on here!

I stitched in the ditch every block and quilted connecting curves in the triangle/squares. They look fun, but they can take a while to do.

Oh, the back - I love it when I can see the quilting on the back. I ran my fingers through the texture of the quilting on this quilt a lot! I can't help myself. Now it is wrapped up, packed and ready to be shipped to Beth on the east coast!

I agree - the TEXTURE is just so touchable -- I can almost feel it from here! Lovely, and inspirational, because I am going to be starting machine quilting in the next day or so.

Would someone please hurry up and invent touch-o-vision? I almost tried to feel that quilt on my computer screen! Fabulous, as always!

I must make a snowball quilt, just to quilt it "your" way". It looks fantastic!!!

Stunning quilt! I love how you use KF fabrics (and fabrics this type). The quilting on the woven stripes makes them look totally different!

I made that same quilt and ended up just stitching in the ditch. Now I wish I had commissioned you quilt it! Beautiful job Judi!

This quilt is breathtaking! Seriously, I gasped when the pics came up on my screen. I'm not sure what I love more, the front or the back. Your work is superbly inspiring!

Thanks SO much for posting your quilting in detail. I struggle trying to figure out how to quilt my quilts. While my skill level is well below yours, how you approach the different blocks is really a help for me to do my own. Thanks again!
