Dragonfly Tutorial Video

Okay - don't make fun of me - I am not a camera kind of girl, but I did a little tutorial on my Dragonfly Template. I hope it is helpful to you quilters out there!

Wow that is a fantastic video, I just love watching you do that background, beats a Hollywood blockbuster any day, thank you so much!!!

I agree, you make it look soooo easy! How amazing to be able to see you at work when we've all admired your quilts for so long.

Also it was rather tripping to hear your voice. Some thing you take for granted when you meet people in person, then in contrast you follow people online and it doesn't occur to you that you don't know how they sound or maybe even how they look!

Wow! I am so impressed! You did a wonderful job!

I love how your machine kind ofsounds like a dragonfly when they are really close to your ear - appropriate!

This video kinda tripped me out - it definitely made me want to learn but i think I'll just leave that to the pros!

great tutorial, Judi! I cracked up when you said "just be creative" because that's something that comes so naturally to you and the rest of us are jealous!! I think I might have to try this out on a practice piece--you've made it look so easy!!

Hi Judi , loved your tutorial - your dragonfly is beautiful. You make it look so easy on a long arm.
I had a go on a long arm at a quilt show last week and it felt so strange moving the machine and not the quilt.

I could sit here for hours looking at you freehand-quilt! Boy I could use a long arm...

I could just sit and watch you quilt all day, you make it look so easy, I find it so relaxing just watching you produce perfect little pictures. You are one very talented lady. Linda

I REALLY enjoyed getting to watch you work... such a fluid movement... my granddaughter came in while I was watching and she, too, became transfixed!

Once again, I am amazed at your quilting - but dying to try it myself! Thanks for sharing how you do it - as with everything, it looks so hard until you see how it's done. Not to deny your obvious skill - mine will not look nearly as good, I'm sure! - but it does look like something I could learn to do!!

Can you tell me what kind of quilting machine you use and where they are available. I have so many unquilted tops that need to get done and this really intrigues me. Thanks so much.

This turns out so pretty:) It kinda' seems like doodling with a jackhammer to me, though; I have never seen a long arm machine in action before today. I imagine it takes lots of practice to get it to seem so flawless and easy for you:) Thanks for inspiring me today!

Are you kidding??? Make fun of you!?! This video was awesome! I learned so much! I know it takes so much talent, patience and tons of creativity. You make it look soooo easy! Thank you so much for giving me the push to get on my next project. I was actually going to email you asking for some suggestions, but I'm looking at those fantastic swirlies and shells, and I know I'm going to do something with that!

YOU ROCK! Thanks!

I could watch for hours! Great amazing work!!

Thanks for sharing your technique. Like everyone said, you do make it look easy, but I know that behind each of your beautiful quilts there are many hours of practice. When you are doing a design like that, how many stitches per inch do you set your machine at?
Thanks!

I did want to say a good shout out to the camera man (woman)! They did a GREAT GREAT job showing us what your doing. I love the different angles they reached! It made it a LOT easier to follow! THANK YOU!!!!
