Giveaway!

So the self-indulgence has been fulfilled--I made myself this bag! I love it! Yahoo, I can't wait to tote it around! I quilted the large print and realized that I had enough of it to get two bags, so I couldn't help myself making two. I worked on this project late last night until 1:30! I shouldn't stay up that late, but I had Sense and Sensibility and Persuasion to keep me happy! Got to love it!

Check this out, I even made sure to have the handles match up with each other. Sometimes I think I have a little OCD going on, but I have to have things looking great. So, here's the deal. I made two bags, one for me and one for someone else! Read on to find out how you can win one of my bags!

See this cute bow? My sister Jen made it! She is the best and has the cutest website! She sells the best and cutest bows and some darling dresses. She is going to throw this cute bow and headband into my giveaway! So, a bag and a bow are up for grabs and two lucky winners will be pulled randomly on Friday! So hurry and enter. Here's the thing, go and check out Jen's site here and then come back and tell me what your favorite thing is on her site. That's all you have to do to get one entry. If you do want five entries then go tell your friends, blog about it and be sure to tell me!

Go be Jen's fan on facebook here and check out her blog here! And with this giveaway Jen is giving a 25% discount on your entire order off her website if you enter "greenfairy" during checkout!

So, good things here, I know this is a quilting blog, but surely you have granddaughters, daughters, cousins and neighbor girls that are in need of the dang cutest bows ever! So go check it out and come back and enter the giveaway.

If you are wondering, I used my "Quilted Bag" pattern to make my two bags, I just used two colors instead of five and didn't piece the main part of the bag, so if you want to make your own you can get the pattern here! You just need 1 yard of cute big print fabric and 1 1/2 yards of the trim and lining! (Plus batting and lining for the quilting)

I Love her site, read it a lot. I particulary like the bows on the head bands. Never connected you two as sisters! I have 1 grandaughter 9 years old and 9 grandsons ranging from 24 down to 8. Katie absolutely will not wear bows or anything girly, yet she is a petite little blond. I keep hoping!!!!!

Thank you for sharing Jen's wonderful web site! I love the ivory toddler dress! With 3 girls I can't keep up with the hair bows and ponytails! hehe I make some simple dresses and skirts for them to wear since my two older ones like to match sometimes and now with a 9 month old, I'm going to be busy this spring! haha The hairbows would make the outfits complete!
The quilted bag is adorable! I love anything homemade and use them over any name brand out there! Good luck to everyone!

Sorry I need to use my son's account name to post here (he will be so excited to find out tomorrow :) but what I love about Jen's bows is she just knows how to put those colors together! I have one of her bow and it is made to last. She is very detail oriented and her bow constructions are well thought out. I must say that her models are pretty darn cute, too. :)

One of the best things about reading your blog is the opportunities to read about the new projects you're working on and the chance to check out new products from other talented artists. Your sister definitely has a wonderful talent - thank you so much for sharing her website. Her "Classic Bows" would be so cute with any little girl's outfit to be sure, but I think they would also add a beautiful finishing touch attached to a bag like the one you made for yourself.

Well I popped on in here this morning to check on ya and I see one of your totes that I've been after up for grabs! Could it be? It is early...blurry eyes but as I read it is true...Woo Hoo! However, must go over to Jen's to see what I like there....I did...and come back sadly....I wanted a little girl (got two boys) and someday...someday I just know a little grand daughter will be in my life. All that girly stuff was a big tease for me! Hee!! I love it all!! In hopes of scoring an extra ticket I'm putting this on my blog for you both! Hugs!!

Love the korkers, especially the hot pink ballerina one. They are all so cute. It makes me wish my 2 daughters were small again. I had to laugh at her daughter not wanting her hair "done". I remember those days well. I had a couple of tomboys and after they were 3--I could no longer do their hair. Love the bag--really cute. I have been going to make myself a bag, but have been doing BOM blocks instead.

Judy said...

Cute bags! The stack bows are so cute -- wish my girls were little again.

Your sister huh? I use to subscribe to her site, but unsubbed after awhile. I just don't think to order bows for the granddaughters. I visited and really liked the Patriotic Stacked Flower bow. With the right outfit, that would be so cute this summer!

Kara H. said...

Jen has some really cute bows!!! I really like the crochet hat/bow combo. They are so perfect for my girl who was born with hardly any hair and at 2 still doesn't have enough for bows.

And your bag is so cute! I'm a big fan of that fabric. I had some in my stash for a while.

My favorite thing on Jen's blog is the Snowflake Flower Stack. It is adorable. I would really like to see one in person. But, since I live close to her, maybe I can.

Love it! I'm going to head over and check out your sister. I have a granddaughter and a new granddaughter on the way so we can always use bows! How fun also that you found time to make something for yourself! It's kind of funny but I just posted purses today that I made for my girls. I really want to sit down and make myself one but that will have to wait a minute or two while I paint and move my sewing room. Yay! I can hardly wait to have all my sewing stuff out of the family room! :)

Ooooh! You both are so creative! Since I can't wear bows in my hair I checked out the dresses. Pink and brown is one of my favorite color combos, so I love the pink and brown dress in the Megan's Dress Closet category.

I think all of the bows are really cute, but I have 5 small granddaughters with fine hair so I'm looking at the crocheted headbands as my favorites! I hate to see hair in their faces, and these should stay put!

As our daughters did not grow hair until they were toddlers, the headbands (pink gingham and crochet) caught my eye. The dresses were really nice as well.

I love, love the polka dot hair bows, especially the brown and blue. Of course, my dd doesn't have all that much hair yet (and when she does, it will be like mine, the bane of hair clips) so, if I were actually shopping, instead of daydreaming, I'd go with one of those cute crochet hats.
