Drawing a blank.....

Life's good and crazy, don't have much to post right now. The boys are doing better, scars are going to be permanent, but at least it wasn't any worse that it was. We got the ER bill for Micah and I figure I am in the wrong profession because at $140.00 per stitch I would be sitting real pretty if I charged that much for my "stitching." But then again, I am quite sure no one would want to pay $2100.00 per 15 stitch run, that would be one pricey quilt.
I have been working on a super cool quilt done by Emily called Muertos, I will finish sometime tomorrow and will have pictures soon. I also have two new patterns in the works, can't wait to show you them. Have a great weekend everyone!

Yes, that was quite a chunk of change if you ask me...but the boys are doing good and hopefully stay out of the ER for a while.

Glad to hear the boys okay even with scars. Once the skin is healed get some vitamin E oil And some lavendar essential oil and alternate applications. Both are healing to the skin and should help reduce the scarring.

(I got my honeybun and charm pack in the mail yesterday!)

I feel your pain. Medical bills are so outrageous. My oldest son just had a procedure done and the procedure alone was $30,000.00. As a newlywed do you think he has that kind of money? It had to be done though as they found out he had two holes in his heart that caused a stroke. He's only 24 but crazily enough he'd had these holes from birth and we never knew. Try not to think about the bills (I know that's a tough one) and just enjoy the boys. Seeing your work if I could afford it I'd pay you $2100.00 per 15 stitch run, lol! You do beautiful work.

medical bills are outrageous and sometimes you think you have received all the bills from the ER that will be coming from one visit and then you get another one. My husband had an ER visit a couple years ago and we thought the bills would never stop coming.

I can't believe how much stitches cost! They're free here... I'm grateful for that, even if we sometimes have to wait a while to get in... we always get free care!

Stitches are expensive... we had our first broken limb(elbow - 8r old) & stitches (3 yr old) this year and I think the bill (before insurance) for the stitches was actually more!

It was so nice to meet you today! We just had our first broken arm a couple of months ago...our 14 year old broke his arm playing in a football game...luckily, the arm has now healed, the cast is off, and he's a happy kid again!

From what I hear there isn't any logic in ER billing. To clarify, I don't think they bill by per stitch...but here is the bill they want to give you that particular day. But, when you need them, you need them. On the other hand, maybe you can offer a beautiful quilt in exchange for waiving the bill.
