Ramblings of a tired wife/mom/quilter

I had so many plans, so many goals set and then life happens. I have spent the greater part of two days getting my car fixed. A simple $174.00 a/c problems magically turns into a $703.00 a/c fan problem! Don't you just love mechanics? I then tried to blame the car problems on the fact that Clint doesn't know anything about cars and how he should of taken the auto shop class in high school, that was a stretch and it didn't work out. But at least now I can drive around in the hot weather with the a/c on and the windows up.

I have one quilt done, and another one on the machine. The kids are bathed and in bed and I have one quilt pieced and my surprise project near completion (sorta). So, with all the craziness in life I have managed to get a few things done. Wish me luck getting three quilts machine quilted before Saturday night, I don't know how realistic that is, but I will try!

Sorry I don't have pictures for this post! I will make up for it in my other posts and only three more posts until my 100th post giveaway! I can't wait! Have a great night or day!

(did I just say "post" four times in one sentence?) it's late and I am tired!

No matter how hard you try, you are not Super Woman, you are trying to fill too many shoes....so relax and give yourself a break. I always panic when anything happens with the car...it always seems to snowball. Hopefully you woke up more refreshed than last night. Things always seem to work out.

Car problems always scare me, too....as I am always worrying they will escalate into LOTS of money spent. I think Barb said it well, though. Give yourself a break!!!

Good luck on 3 quilts by the weekend - maybe that is too much to try for? unless this is a deadline for a reason. pace yourself and let yourself breath :) (of course this is coming from someone who has no responsibilities - kids are grown, grandkids do not live here, retired - you get the picture!)

I'm soooo sorry about your a/c problems especially with you living in a hot climate. I hate repairs that balloon up like that. I tried to get my kids to take the auto mechanics class at the local college that is paid for and done in conjunction with their high school for credit. No such luck, they weren't interested at all. Needless to say I wanted a mechanic in the family since we drive older cars!! LOL! I am lucky though in that my husband's best friend went to school to be a mechanic, and then a year ago our new neighbor who moved in happened to be a mechanic by trade and has helped my husband learn so much! I hope your kids let you get some rest, it sounds like you need a break!

Judi, I'm so sorry your smaller car problem turned into a magnum one, that seems to be the way it always happens. As you said, "Life Happens"...a LOT!!! I hope things are looking up now and that you got some rest.

You sound exhausted, life is like that sometimes I think we have all experienced times like you are having, cars are just 'The Pits' and it always happens at the wromg time I always get most offended when my car lets me down. Hope you will soon feel better.

Sorry about the car problems. Fixing a car always feels like putting money into nothing, because you get the same car back that you had before. Lame!
Good Luck on your new quilts. I bet they will be beautiful as always!!
