My Book Is Finally Here - In Stock!!!!

book1
Oh my word - I feel like it has been ages since I started this book process. I know it takes a while for every author, but this has been a 3 year process for me.  I started my projects the beginning of 2011 and one dashed hope and excitement later here we are!  December 2, 2013 will be a day I remember as the day I received my book and I officially became an author.  It's a surreal feeling.  Almost too much to handle.  The UPS guy came late last night with my first shipment of books and I was so excited I couldn't quilt, then I didn't sleep much last night. I am just so grateful that it is finished and I can start shipping out your orders. I know a lot of you have been waiting for a long time and I appreciate your patience.  Thank you so much for your support!!
I have had quite a few orders so it will probably take us a week to get all of them out.  I will start with the orders that have come in first and move on from there.  The books will be shipped out this week using Media Mail and will arrive 3 - 5 business days after that.  Please look for your signed copies sometime next week.  International orders will go out as First Class International starting this week as well.

book2
Okay, so I know you have seen the cover - but seriously, I love it even more in print!  The editors, especially Kathy at AQS did a beautiful job on my book.  I am so happy to be working with them. My book comes with a CD-rom with quilting outlines and templates for all my projects - that in itself is 118 pages.  The book has 104 pages of instructions for 6 quilting projects and a lot more templates, and of course - quilting eye candy.

book3
I think the back cover is amazing too!  Seriously, I love it! It has been so long since I finished the quilts in this book and I am so happy to finally be able to share them with you. Once I receive my quilts back I will write posts about them as well, but until then - here is a peek inside.

book4
I dedicated this book to my husband, kids and my mom.  They have been so patient with me and so supportive.  What do you think of the quilting?  Eek!  Love this!

book5
I just love the layout of the book.  I hope you enjoy it too.

book6
This is my "Irish Lass" quilt. I love it.

book7
Probably my favorite quilt in the whole book - Modern Flowers is an amazing design and the quilting just puts it over the top.  I want piecers and quilters alike to enjoy my book.  This book isn't just for quilting and it isn't just for piecing.  It really is a great combo of both piecing and quilting because I love the whole process of quilting.  Each one of these quilt projects started out on graph paper and went from there.

book8
Oh ya, that is the back of the quilt.  I have waited so long to share this with you!  I hope you like it!.

book9
Each project is fun and unique and must be made! I have started a Flickr group for you all to share your own Quilting Wide Open Spaces projects, so please join with me here.  I can not wait to see what fabrics you put together with my designs. I also can not wait to see your quilting with my templates.  Be sure to share that on my Flickr group

book10
Love this one.

book11
I think some of you may have seen Queen's Cross at some of the AQS QuiltWeek Shows.  So, you have seen it more recently than I have.  I love it though, another favorite.

book12
I promise to share more of my quilt projects as soon as I receive my quilts back.  I have been so excited to share this with you and I am so happy that I finally get to.  There is so much more in my book, but you need to get one yourself to read.  Just remember if you buy the book from me, it will be a signed copy.  It would be a perfect Christmas gift for you and your quilter friends.

I just have to say thank you so much for your love and support through the years.  I can not tell you just how much it means to me.  I realize that this would not be successful without all of you.  Thank you so much for everything! Happy Quilting!

Get the book here.

How awesome to see a little preview of what I'll be receiving in the mail next week! I can't wait. It has been a long time in coming and I am so very excited to get my autographed copy! Judi, you are amazing. I don't know how you do all you do with your church callings, your family and friends, and business. It's a hard thing to juggle, but you seem to do it perfectly - just like your quilting! Looking forward to next week for sure!

In MY book, you're not just an author -- you're a rock star! Now that you have shown glimpses of the book in your blog, I'm even MORE impatient to get my copy in my hot little hands! I worked on FMQ throughout all of last year, and although I originally ordered your book so I could be inspired by all of your gorgeous quilting, I am even more excited about it now that I know it contains projects for quilts that are designed to show off fancy quilting. I hope there are some projects in the book that are within my current skill level.

CONGRATULATIONS, Judi! This watching and waiting for the UPS man to bring the books ties in nicely with the themes of Advent, though, doesn't it? ;-)

I might have to order another one because I know I will have drool all over the first one. Thanks for everything you share, it sure has helped me in my longarm quilting adventure.

Received my copy yesterday - can you say EYE CANDY? Beautiful pics, beautiful quilting and thanks so much for the cd - I'm going to practice some of the gorgeous designs!!!

Got my copy yesterday, was up 'til well past Midnight reading and looking and just trying to take it ALL in, knowing full well I would have to get up early to scoop snow and ice - well worth it! I told ALL my frame quilting buddies my eyes are soooo glazed over from ALL the eye candy I can barely see to quilt now, and that IF this was the only quilting book they could ask for as a Christmas gift, then 'Quilting Wide Open Spaces' should be IT!

Kudos - Well Done, indeed!

Oh such a happy post. I'm beyond excited for you. This is the #1 book on my wish list to Santa this year and let me tell you, it had better be under the tree or there will be trouble for the mister. I cannot wait to get my hands on it. Congratulations.

I can't stop smiling for you! Congratulations and from what I see, your book looks amazingly fantastic!! I can't wait to have on in my possession!!

Hi Judi, I just ordered your book from you as a Christmas gift to myself! I cannot wait to get it in the mail and don't know if I'll be able to resist until Christmas to look at it! Your work is absolutely stunning (I know you hear that all the time) and I can't wait to "learn" from you! Thanks so much for writing this book and sharing all your wonderful pics :) Happy Holidays!

Rebecca Grace said...

Now I am second-guessing myself. I was SURE that I had pre-ordered your book, but looking through my email folders I can't find any record of that. I'm DYING to see it, so I just ordered it on Amazon. If I end up with more than one copy, then so be it!

I'm so glad you're finding the time to enjoy tree decorating and snow play with your children despite everything else going on in your life. You never get those opportunities back again if you let them pass you by.

Enjoy the Advent season, Judi!

Sorry for the late comment on this post, but I wasn't allowed to open your book until Christmas as it was a present. It was well worth the wait! It is an amazing book and your talents blow me away. Both the quilting and your patterns are beautiful. I can't wait to have some time to try them out. Thank you so much for sharing with us!
