Here I am, checking in again!

Thelma's quilt
I feel like I haven't been too good with blogging the past little while and here I am, just checking in again. I am getting piecing (can you believe it ;-), quilting, editing, and designing done. I am also writing an article for Machine Quilting Unlimited - it is crazy around here (when is it not?) I just want you to know that I am alive and kicking and I really cannot wait to finish this quilt.  Thelma is waiting patiently for this finish and I am officially 2/3rds done! Yay!

Your quilting is unbelievable. You are so talented and such an inspiration. It is still my dream to have you quilt my Eldon quilt by Edyta Sitar if I ever finish it!

Oh Judi!!! I can't wait to see it fully revealed, whether on your's or Thelma's blog...this little peek alone is absolutely stunning! Both the piecing/applique and the quilting. Hugs...

Judi, this is GORGEOUS! How large is that applique motif? Is there trapunto or double batting or some other trick that got the applique to look so beautifully dimensional? Can't wait to see this one finished!

Your quilting is so breathtaking! I can't wait to purchase your new book and learn some of your techniques. How did you come up with the diamonds behind the applique? Gorgeous! "When I grow up," I'll be a quilter like you! Wow!

Your quilting truly brings about an emotional response for me. It is just beyond beautiful. I want so badly to ask how much you charge for your custom quilt jobs, but I dare not...

This is a totally marvelous looking quilt but...I have a question. When making a quilt like this, do you complete the background quilting and then add the applique or is the applique done before quilting? Inquiring minds want to know. :)
