What I'm working on this week...

what I'm currently working on
So, this week has been an adventure to say the least. Between cleaning the house, taking care of the kids, laundry, dinner - I am making time for a little fun sewing. Multitasking is always fun, isn't it? I think us moms/quilters are pretty good at it. This current project is a design in the works, after the pattern is finished and the quilt is done, the quilt will go to a friend having a baby. It's a surprise though, so I cannot wait to give this to her.  I imagine this quilt will be in the works for the next few months because I am sneaking little bits of time for it in between all the other tasks.  Quilting is always one of those tasks.....

This filler is fun and random and I can not wait to share the finished quilt! I hope to finish this week, fingers crossed!

I can't believe that someone would post negative comments on your blog but people are weird. :-) I have been a long-time reader and never commented. I am a longarm quilter, since 2006, and I think your quilting is phenomenal! You should be proud to show of your gorgeous work. You definitely put your heart and soul into and people can see that. Keep doing what you're doing!!! From a fan - Tina

Here's another vote for sharing how you did the background filler in the white. Do you fill it all in at once or do you do some of the swirls first, then go back to the pebbling? Trying to envision how something that that goes together and then translate that to my domestic. :)

This filler design is GORGEOUS! I love the "tails" on your spirals, and how you've mixed them in with pebbles. I would leave white space EVERYWHERE if I knew you were going to be doing the quilting for me! :-)

I hope you're not listening to the negative stuff people write on your posts. Don't let it get to you! So many of us follow your blog because we love to see what you do, how you do it and so on, because we want to get inspired by you. Those who comments with negative words have to be envious or something, but I can assure you that it's not contagious ;o)
Happy quilting :-)
