Okay - this is my attempt at being less detailed - there is so much more that could be done to these diamonds, but for now they are staying the way they are - let's just see if I can allow myself to not quilt anymore in the diamonds..... haha, we'll see!!
Mom - take a picture of me doing this! Man - this kid cracks me up! I ended up having to take 5 pictures of different poses. He definitely keeps us laughing around this house.
Also - I just wanted to take the time to write all you readers out there a huge THANK YOU! You have made me feel so loved with the sweet compliments on my latest quilt - I really am so thankful to you all - I don't deserve such praise - but I thank you just the same. I wish I could write you all back, but these kids keep me on my toes and Clint's got me helping with orders. So, that's our Friday night date!
One last thing - we have got some yummy new products in - finally we have our January precuts coming in and on sale - check out our store before everything is gone. Our new products are linked on our home page. We are also starting to carry notions - we start small and add as we can - so get some markers, scissors and a rotary cutter here.

The quilt is nearly as cute as your boy!
The less detail looks like it would still take a lot of time - all that ruler work. I like the way in this quilt and the last you make your quilting look like patchwork. Lots of great ideas for me to pick up on.
Thank you.
Your boy is pretty cute.
I use to have a friend who would always tell me, "sometimes less is best." Perhaps that is true in this case. Beautiful, as always!
did you have to mark all the straight ( diamonds ) before you started
I love your diamonds and they look great blank.....
All too often, less is more!!!!!!!! They look just fine they way they are.
He is so cute and looks just like you!
Hi Judi - I think you leave the diamonds just as is - they look great! And, yes you do deserve such praise - you are a-ma-zing! I get so inspired looking at your works. And, kids, you do those pretty well too - LOLOL!
Your quilting looks fab...a perfect balance!
I love seeing pictures of children, especially this time of year. I really enjoyed the time mine were that size and age. Luckily, I get to enjoy my grandchildren now.
Your quilting is just out of this world. Absolutely amazing!
Your little guy is adorable and your Christmas quilt is looking fabulous. I love the diamonds!!
Judi, I love the work you did on Thelma's quilt. I wish I had the foresight that you do with quilting ideas. The diamonds on your latest quilt are wonderful- a great idea.
Your little guy is too cute. Enjoy them while they are young, they grow up too fast.
oh *awesome*! It is *so* difficult to 'leave it alone' on a longarm. You have this expanse of blank quilt in front of you and it's just so easy to keep putting more on it.
Congratulations on the self-restraint ... it's just lovely.
Hi! Greetings from Finland! Your quilts are so fantastic! www.quiltworld2.blogspot.com

In one of my art methods class we had a teacher always say, "Stop before you think it is done." and "If you think it is done, go back and leave off the last thing you added." I guess it is another way of saying, "Less is more". Looks great!

Please don't add another thing to this quilting! It looks so clean and elegant just as it is. The eye needs a rest sometimes. =)
Very lovely... wow that's a lot of work and many hours.
Cute baby boy. Happy as can be.
Cathy
I want something fun under my tree on Christmas! Like a giveawy from you!
Those diamonds really rock on that quilt! And yes, y'all "do good" on the kiddos department, too! Have fun on your business dates with hubby!
Some times less is more. Very beautiful.
Very cute! The quilt and the boy. Your quilting is stunning, so precise and perfectly executed. Thanks for sharing, always an inspiration. Today as I put my bread in the oven to rise I couldn't help thinking about you and your Bosch. The first thing I would grab in a fire is the Bosch, then the fabric, quilts and photos. I've had mine since 1976 and when I got a Magic Mill grain grinder for a wedding gift I thought, "Who uses this stuff?!" I do, couldn't live without it. Enjoy and bless you.
Love it! LOVE IT! LOVE IT!!! You make the most beautiful things sound so simple! Thanks for sharing!
The quilting looks so gorgeous! Thank you for sharing!
Your little guy is cute too :o)
Happy quilting,
Laila
