Really? November Already?

November

I was fully aware that yesterday was Halloween, but when I looked at my phone and the date said November 1st - it hit me that the year is coming to an end! Holy Cow - where the heck did the time go? Clint already wants the Christmas tree up. Normally I would say "let's wait" - but I am super excited about our tree this year. Well, here's to another great month in 2011 - let's hope I can get some (a lot) of quilts done!

Love the quilting in this block. The colors/fabrics in this quilt look gorgeous. Please show us more!

Oh, I wish my hubby would let me put up the tree this early - but he says I can't put it up until after Thanksgiving dinner! I never get as much decorating done as I'd like because I always run out of time....

And that quilt block is fabulous - but that's to be expected!! Can't wait to see more!!

Love the chocolate brown! I only just got my fall decor out - and then it snowed! I no longer put up a tree, but just decorate the mantel with a different theme each year, but in no hurry to put that up.

This quilting is so neat. When I first glanced at it, it reminded me of chocolates in a chocolate box! Cool!

Where has the year gone? I am like you, the tree goes up beginning of November in our house. How naughty.

Wow, what a wonderful start! I just LOVE that first block!!! Absolutely Amazing!!

I usually have at least one Christmas tree up and decorated before Thanksgiving. Thanksgiving evening we have our official tree lighting ceremony and eat dessert to the tree lights. It's a wonderful tradition

Judi, that quilting is lovely! Inspired, making it all look like tiny quilt blocks.

Is that marking chalk I see? I would love to hear how you approached this design task...did you sketch ideas, then mark the block for the quilting line motifs?
Luv that little vampire too! And congrats on the super reader...as for your own struggles, our third was also a slow to start reader btw but she just bloomed late and at 13 is a wizardly reader.
