Guilty as charged..........

Christmas Tree

I have to admit that I have been one of those people that isn't quite ready for the Christmas stuff to be out in stores before Thanksgiving - but I caved. I absolutely love Thanksgiving and will be thinking all month what I am thankful for, but I will have this tree in our entry to remind me of the Christmas season. I love this time of year, it reminds me of what is truly important in life and I want the season to be a little longer for our family this year.

Christmas Tree

This tree was quite the workout to decorate! I found the big ornaments at Costco, the big bells at Target and the snowflakes at Walmart. The theme of the tree is red and gold and I just love how it turned out.

I hope you all have a great week. I am being brave and taking off by myself to go hang out with my Mom at a cabin sewing retreat. I don't know why it is so hard to leave my husband and kids - probably because I never leave by myself. But, my first solo trip - I am sure they will survive - let's just hope I survive without them.

Take care!

Gorgeous tree! I always wanted a tall one in our entry way but never did it and now we don't live in that house anymore. Funny thing is the last two years we have had 12' LIVE trees in our new house! The living room has a peaked ceiling and the kids like finding and cutting down the big ones. Good thing my dh and son are over 6'5"...they can decorate the top. :)

With an entryway like that, I don't blame you for putting your tree up early! It looks perfect! I love how it fits in so nicely with the stairway.

I love your tree! How great to get started on the season. Have fun on your retreat - I know how you feel I'm doing my first one this weekend too. why is it that moms have such a hard time leaving? We deserve a break too! Have fun.

It's gorgeous, but WAY too early. How long do you leave it up? Mine goes up early Dec. and HAS to stay up till Epiphany...traditionally Jan. 6. I hate wehn I go for a walk on Christmas night, and there are trees already in the trash pile!

I love the Christmas season also. Congratulations on putting your tree up early. It looks great. If I could get to my ornaments without going through everything--I would put one up also.

Just beautiful and a great reminder.
