Texture

texture

Okay - guilty as charged. I love the texture that quilting creates on quilts. I spend most of my time running my fingers over the quilting (not joking) and end up posting pictures of it when I should be quilting because the kids are asleep!

I just had to share!

Thanks for sharing! Isn't that what quilts are all about - texture?

I'm with you on that! I do the same.

Your quilting is perfect! How long does it take you to find the right patterns? Does it "come" when you look at a quilt? Is it there in your hands? I am really impressed of your work. Thank you for sharing!

Very pretty! Do you stop and start when you quilt or do you travel through seams to get to your next space?

I love it when you show close ups like that...I can see what you are doing and I too want to feel.

What a beautiful quilt... I think we all like texture... at least, it's what first drew me in... what is the fabric in your quilt... is it a collection, or fabrics you pulled together... quite lovely...

I like the way you quilted this one, it is going with the pattern of the quilt which I always love.

I too am a bit of a nut for the actual quilting in a quilt. This looks just beautiful. :)

Since starting to LAQ, I appreciate the actual quilting much more than the quilt top itself now. You quilts are amazing. I'm just now starting to LAQ for friends, and I feel so basic & simple. Hopefully one day I can get my quilts as beautiful as yours! I love that you free-hand them all, I only use a pantograph when someone specifically requests a pattern, and it usually doesn't turn out as well as if I could free hand something similar!
