I've been Strippin'

I have had to sneak in a few little projects here and there between quilting to get some of my new designs ready for a quilt show. This is what I have done with a "Lollipop" Jelly roll - it's so cute, but it will be so much cuter when I can show you the final project! I can't wait - but you'll have to because I need to get back to the quilting machine.

You know it's my own project if I just do my swirl quilting, I don't have time to do fancy quilting for my own projects. But don't you just love the black, white and pink? I can't wait to show you this all finished either. Sooooooo cute!

Oh, and it's official - I can't see my feet. Shaving my legs is nearly impossible, I just do the best I can. But the truth is, I don't want to see my feet. The water weight has settle in and my toes - look like little sausages! The joys of the third trimester - huge, uncomfortable and just ready to have a baby!

I don't know if my being clumsy has anything to do with pregnancy, but somethings gotta give. I slammed my finger in the boys window - dummy - I held my fingers at the bottom of the window while trying to open it up through the blinds. My mind isn't working - oh and yesterday I carried a pot of hot boiling water to the other side of the kitchen to get a strainer and the pot tipped over - as I bent over to get the strainer - and burned my feet. That was really dumb, I had to laugh later at how silly it was to carry the pot with me - the brain is gone too. Crazy - I can't wait to be myself again.

Oh the joys of being pregnant! I always missed my 'tummy' when my babies came, as it was a great place to rest my coffee cup!

I'm just trying to picture how you can even use your long arm quilting machine after seeing these pictures! I always it was such a treat to be able to empty the washing machine without turning sideways after I had my babies!

The pink, white and black is lovely. And the swirls fit the fabric. Great quilting!

Just curious, why do you care if your legs are shaved when you cannot see them? (ha!)

When I was pregnant I accidentally hung by big belly over a pot of boiling water and scalded it. The next Dr. appointment I had a row of blisters on my belly!! ouch!! Had to explain that one to the doctor!! I can laugh about it now...:o)
Enjoy your pregnancy...;o)

The Lollipop is gorgeous, as is that black/white/pink quilt! And even just your "swirlies" are impressive! Thanks for sharing (and don't worry, the clumsies do pass.... you just lose some brain cells!)

I am sure your quilts will be just wonderful, you do amazing work and I can't wait to see them in full view.

As far as the mind goes...getting it back may be a problem because with each child it gets worse...least ways, that is my excuse.

It won't be long and you will have a beautiful baby. My daughter just went through the same thing...she couldn't wear anything buy sandals for about the last 3 months. Her feet and ankles were swollen and she kept telling me that her toes looked like little sausages! But now, my beautiful grandson is here, and all the uncomfortableness is a faint memory.

Oh, and by the way, you think you have pregnancy brain...wait til you go through menopause....you are in for a treat! LOL

Oh! I'm so glad I'm not alone in the pregnancy fog! I'm also in my 3rd trimester and I think my depth perception must be a tad off. A few days ago I bent over to pick something off the floor and smashed my face into the kitchen table giving myself a fat lip. Huh? Who does that? Then a few hours later I tried to peer out our sliding glass door and smash my forehead into the door. At that point I just started laughing. Oh, and I drop EVERYTHING too! Hope your finger feels better soon!

Oh Judi, what memories you are bringing back for me! Pregnancy Fog is right. And all those middle of the night "Gotta Go to the Bathroom" trips. I believe that is natures way of getting you used to getting up in the middle of the night before the baby arrives, so it isn't as difficult to handle when the baby cries in the middle of the night to be fed or changed.
God bless you girl - remember to take care of yourself!
