Some quilting pictures - and a free Charm Pack!!

Okay, first things first - we are giving away a "Sent with Love" charm pack with any order of $10 or more on our website. Hurry fast because this is only good through the weekend. Be sure to mention you want the free charm pack during checkout in the "any additional info" box!

Sherri from A Quilting Life commissioned me to quilt this row quilt. This was a really fun quilt.

I love feathers as you know! It's so fun to go around a corner, if you haven't tried feathers yet, I totally recommend them because they are the funnest part in quilting! They just look so pretty!

Here's a closeup of the fence row, I loved how I showed the wood grain, it wasn't until after I finished quilting it that I thought maybe that doesn't work because the fence isn't wood color. Oh well, I really like it anyway.

Sherri told me that she didn't want too much tight quilting, so I hope I found the balance in this quilt. I really struggle with not quilting everything.

Love the baskets!

Here's another attempt at not quilting too much. I think the quilting worked well with this row.

I absolutely loved the plant pot! I think it turned out just right.

There was bigger background space in this row, so I opted for a feather design.

The flying geese were really fun too. I used three different thread colors on this quilt: cream, gold and purple, so there was a lot of time involved in this quilt. I sure hope Sherri likes it! I still get nervous with every single quilt I do. I guess it's just an occupational hazard! Or, I am just a nervous wreck, ya - that's it! :)

Oh wow that is just stunning! Your feathers are gorgeous, but that fence is just fantastic!

the quilt looks great - a question though with that much quilting in a quilt is it not stiff when you get done? I like your quilting but my personal preference is more open spaces and wonder why you put so much quilting in your quilts. I am use to hand quilting so that makes a big difference in our way of making quilts :) I'm just curious on your reasons.

I love how you've quilted this quilt! It really enhances the top. The fence is especially wonderful and I love how the feeling of the wood came through.

Beautiful quilts! I couldn't resist your offer of the charm pack, and I've been looking at those patterns that use one jelly roll, so I broke down and put in an order! Now I'll look forward to the mail delivery every day until it arrives! How exciting!

Thanks so much!

That fence is simply WONDERFUL! But the entire quilt is wonderful!

I do my quilting on a domestic machine (and only for myself) but I have a real problem leaving open areas also. Even though I am using batting that allows 8 to 10 inches open space, I panic if there is more than 3-4 inches open.

Beautiful Quilt! LOVE the wood grain on the fence :-)
Thanks for the charm pack offer; I just placed an order and now I'll have the jelly roll I need for a bag pattern I've been itching to make.
