Christmas comes early....

Today when I was making a smoothie for the family my blender was bleeding out the back and bottom and most of the shake ended up on the counter, I wish I got a picture of it. Totally pathetic, I was cursing the thing of course! Walmart $25 special about 2 years ago and it has had it. I have been wanting a new blender for a while now, and Clint has known it, but I made it perfectly clear that I didn't want a kitchen appliance for Christmas because that's totally lame! At least I am not a fan of getting kitchen appliances for Christmas because they usually remind me of the fact that I don't cook and everyone wants me to (well, Clint does). Anyway, my darling Clint surprised me with this "holy cow" incredible blender today. We tried out ice cream shakes tonight and the magical thing about this blender is that I just put in all the ingredients and pushed a button, 30 seconds later we had the perfect ice cream shake. I didn't even have to beat it and use a spoon to shove everything down to the blades! Ah ha! I am so happy, so Clint gave me this blender for Christmas, except not for Christmas because I gave him that clue! Finding out what he spent on this thing makes me not expect anything else for Christmas.

I'm the opposite. I totally love getting practical things for gifts! We had a mini Christmas Tuesday morning since our son Travis was leaving on Wed. for the MTC. Everyone but Trav just got their stockings filled. He wanted the new Harry Potter movie that came out Tuesday and he had to watch it before 7:00 p.m. so I ran out in the freezing cold after midnight to get it! The sad thing is he only got to watch 1/2 of it bz it got so busy at our house and people kept stopping by to tell him goodbye (his friends) so he'll watch it in 2 years! I'm glad you have a good new blender. I don't like to cook but a good appliance can make the job so much easier! Thanks for letting me gab on.

How fun. You will be mixing up everything in there. Happy not Christmas to you!

Isn't it something how we can't get along in the kitchen without a blender? I have two; a $$$ one from Oster and the new Ninja one, the one that's on TV infomercials. So far I love the Ninja best. For those of you who are Sam's Club members, Sam's Club has the Ninja. It's cheaper than the TV price and, IMO, worth it.

Hope your holiday is good!

Ha, ha. This is funny. A similar thing happened to me, only I purchased a new blender for the express purposes of blending a frozen smoothie when our A/C had gone out in the dog days of summer.

Merry early Christmas!

They are definitely a necessity. I have a blender, but also a Magic Bullet which I LOVE for making fruit smoothies but also frozen mochas with leftover coffee. YUM!

My favorite appliance is my kitchen aid stick blender. It makes the best smoothies and ice cream shakes and the bottom part pops off for easy cleaning.

This must be the year of blenders. I also just bought myself one too. Mine is a Wolfgang Puck and it also a food processor too. I like to watch the TV shopping channels but I tend to watch and buy so I don't watch too often. I haven't tried my new blender yet, but I will one of these days.
Have a Merry Christmas
