if you use spray starch! I love it. I have become addicted to starching my quilt blocks and it is so great because the fabric lays flat and it does not stretch. Do yourself a favor and pick up some regular laundry starch and make a quilt. You will be amazed at the difference.

Do you spray it as your press your seams?
I've beens tarching fabric before I even cut the project, you are right, there is less stretch, particulalry when sewing across the bias. I've always got a tin handy, and a spare too. :o)

Yes, I spray it as I press seams. I love it, it really helps.
