Barely Breathing.

20140122_143645
So, it is crazy around here - I am sure I say that too much.  I feel like I can barely breath and sometimes it is hard to get things done.  I was able to catch up on two class samples for my upcoming teaching debut in Phoenix.  I am nervous, and excited to say the least.
I am also excited about my view from my studio.  It makes me happy.  I can't share my full studio just yet because it is still a work in progress.  Anyone want to come and organize for me?  ;-)

The lighting in my studio is perfect.  It really is.  I am using my dragonfly and butterfly templates from my In The Meadow quilt from my book. I will be teaching this filler and the templates in Phoenix, the class is called Quilting Templates Intensified - see you there!

It is fun to be quilting.  I just love every part of it.  Moving into our home has been great, but the timing couldn't be more terrible as far as getting all things quilty done.  But, I will make it through, I am sure - I live and breath off of procrastination and I do get things done, I just end up being a little stressed during the duration of it.

These moments keep me going.

And, I just had to share my little Jonah getting the car door for me.  Between my husband and my boys, I never open the car door.  Chivalry is still alive in our home and I am so grateful for it.

Have a wonderful weekend everyone!

Breathe in, breathe out. Repeat. LOL. Everything will be fine, you'll see. BTW, I'm a great organizer and would gladly come organize your studio in return for having a quilt quilted by you. Hehehehe. :o)

Judi, as mother of 2 grown up boys, I would tell you to kiss them hold them and listen to their dreams while you breath deeply. I now it seems as if there are too many to do's and not enough hours, but from my side of the age divide, i know that I should have tried to be less perfect by keeping all the balls in air, when I should have made more memories with my boys. I love your quilting style. Would you consider teaching a class through the on-line site craftsy.com? You could reach 1000s of people world wide without having to travel.

Your quilting space has so much promise! And I love your view. Much happiness there. Love the photo of your son in the quilt. And we all manage to get things done - I can be a deadline person too. I am looking forward to seeing you Canada. Embrace the craziness in your life - that means your life is interesting!

OH MY GOODNESS! Your quilting takes my breath away! It is beyond gorgeous! And that little boy! Pure sweetness. Just so sweet. Enjoy them while you can. They grow up in the blink of an eye! People used to tell me that and I was just so tired all the time that I didn't really understand what it meant. You are ultra talented (as I'm sure you know). It's a pleasure! Cheery wave from Bev

What a VIEW! That looks like a wonderful place to work.

I'm signed up for two of your classes at HMQS and I can't wait! I'm sure you'll do a great job in Phoenix---the samples look amazing.

Your little boy looks so much like you! What a little gentleman.

I can't wait to meet you at the HMQS show. I am taking 2 of your classes. I do have a few questions that I need help with about quilt. I tried emailing you, but I don't know that it got through. If you get a chance maybe we can connect sometime. I'm in the process of starting my quilting business.

LOL, for Southern women, doors at those things that courteous men hold open for women as they pass from one portal to another. Enjoy your courteous men!
