Torture of all torture!

KEinmo1
So, I finished this quilt today.  Sadly, I cannot share the whole quilt with you yet, that is why it is torture for me.  The quilt is called Fire & Ice and is designed by Kimberly Einmo and you can watch for it in the Quilter's Newsletter Best Modern Quilts!  Fingers crossed it makes the cover, that would be fun!! It is always a pleasure to work with Kimberly, she is so talented.

Today I tried out my new camera for the first time.  It is going to take getting used to, but I like it so far.

KEinmo3
This quilt was really fun to quilt, I will share more on it when I can.  But, as you can see - detailed quilting was in the mix.  My favorite kind of quilting!

KEinmo4
Love.

Sorry I cannot share more right now.  I promise I will as soon as I can.  Don't forget to watch for Quilter's Newsletters, Best Modern Quilts issue to see the whole quilt!

I love what you do with open spaces. Your quilting has motivated me to work on my FMQ as a potential for design, rather than just a utilitarian fill.

That quilting is so fantastic! What little you can share looks so good. I love the contrast with the white!

Oh, Judi. Your Work is very, very gorgeous. I have the blessing of having a longarm, but I live in Brazil, where there are few longarmers. I learn a lot by watching videos on the internet (and I love to watch your videos, of course).
It would be asking too much if I asked you to do a video about this particular job? I buy your DVD, for sure.
grateful

You know, I was just about to let my QNM subscription lapse when I read the fantastic article about "modern" quiltmaking in the last issue. In the past, I felt that QNM was overly focused on very traditional quilt styles and targeting a much older audience of quilting, but recent issues indicate that they are headed in a much more balanced direction. Which is great, because I have always felt that this magazine showcases the most technically advanced, inspirational quilts of any magazine. I love the fresh new look and spirit of the modern quilt movement, but I'm hoping to see more modern quilts that utilize advanced techniques and more challenging methods. More modern quilts with JUDI quilting! So I'm VERY excited and encouraged to hear that your work will be featured in QNM! I think they should do a whole story on you and your quilting. Are you listening, QNM editors??? ;-)

Is the Modern Quilts issue a separate standalone that I need to look for on the newsstands, or will it show up in my mailbox? Can't wait to see this quilt in its entirety. Congratulations, Judi!
