Book Review and Giveaway....

First off, thank you so much for all the love on my last post about my book coming out next year - you all make me feel so loved! I really can't tell you how much it means to have the support from all of you.

Speaking of books... have you met Angela? I am sure you have since she is excellent at free motion quilting. Well, she has a book out and one coming out soon and it is all about free motion quilting.  As you know, free motion quilting is how I roll so this book is a happy addition to my quilting library.

I am happy to share this great book with you, Angela has been a great friend. We met back in 2011 at the Salt Lake Quilt Market - it was so awesome talking with her, especially since I had been happily following her blog for a while.

I love that I have a signed copy!

This book is absolutely full of awesome ways to quilt and I love her concentric circles the best.  Whenever I have seen a quilt with awesome quilting and this stitch, I have immediately known that it was Angela's quilt job.  This is going to be the first stitch I try out when I have one of my quilts on the racks.

Another thing that I love about this book is the close ups of the quilting.  You really get a feel for what the stitch looks like and how you need to quilt it.

The modern quilts in this book are all so fun.  I have had a great time reading through this book and I know you will enjoy reading it as much as I have.  So, do you want to win a copy?  Well, Angela has graciously allowed me to give away a copy of her book to one of my readers - pretty sure she will sign it too.  What do you need to do to win?  Check out the 7 new fabric lines that have come into our shop, then come back and leave a comment telling me your favorite new line.  Only one comment please!

Good luck!

Normally I would choose the Harvest Moon collection, but I think I am become very "Modern" influenced and I am drawn to the Windsor Lane collection for the geometrics.

Chateau Rouge is georgeoso!! The book look so very inspirational! Hope I win :0)

I'm on a Batik kick, so Kapalua batiks is looking gorgeous.
Now for this book. Being a new longarm quilter myself, I feel that I could really benefit from reading this one...so if I don't win it (which never happens anyway) I might just have to hunt down a copy and see what I can learn from it, which I am guessing is a lot!

Judy said...

I really like The Ladies Stotching Club. I'll be getting some of that. Thanks for the chance to win that great book.

Margarita said...

Love your blog and your quilting is amazing, it is really hard to decide which fabric I like best, so have gone for Collections Warmth

Anonymous said...

This was a hard one for me. I really like anything to do with Fall and the Harvest Moon caught my eye right away. But, I LA quilt for Quilts of Valor and the Collections Warmth seemed to have the 'feel' of a Patriotic theme and I really like it. So, I guess I would have to pick the Collections Warmth. It just makes me feel good to look at it!

Darlene B said...

My first inclination would be Collections Warmth, but I'm going to get out of my box and say Gypsy Girl!
Thanks for the opportunity to win this great book!
