Sometimes it takes a sister......

to help you meet your goals and realize your dreams. I have such a sister! sisters

Jess just graduated college and she came down to be with us for several months, until we convince her it's permanent! :) What would I do without her? So, right now she's the best aunt Jessie, personal chef and personal trainer - not to mention life coach. I've never known someone to be so happy - and I want to be just like her!  We really should be twins - we have a lot in common, but I am older by 7 years.

runner wanna be

First goal - get me back in shape! Jess managed to get me into spandex, scary I know, but I have those 10 pounds to lose. So, the right to eat after 7:00 pm has been taken from me. I have to go to bed earlier - like 11:00 pm and wake up 6:00 am to go running. I have been doing it - the crazy thing is, I haven't run in over a year - please don't judge, and Jess broke me in by taking me on a 6 mile run. I thought I was going to die! I haven't been this sore since forever it seems - walking up and down the stairs is a nightmare.

We have enjoyed family time and climbing rocks in Snow Canyon - I really forget how much there is to do here in Saint George and I am bound and determined to enjoy my surroundings more.

Emily's quilt - should be done today!  Yay!
Another goal is to get caught up with customer quilts - I am behind - like always - but Jenny's recent post gave me the kick in the pants to keep going and try really, really hard to finish the quilts up before I work on my own things. It just might be torture to not work on my projects, but I will feel better knowing I am catching up with my customer quilts.

Last, but not least - I want this car! I know I shouldn't set my heart on things like this, but holy cow - can you imagine driving this with the license plates saying GRNFRY? I so could! Not practical, not going to happen, but a girl can dream right?

The green car cracks me up! I'm always joking with my husband that 'I never get to have a hemi!"

I love coming to Saint George to climb on the red rocks. Haven't done it for a little while, we will have to add that in our summer list of things to do :)

You started with a 6 mile run!?! You go, girl! Those extra 10 pounds won't be there for long! My twin sister is the person you describe your sister to be (she makes me go running, too!) I wish she lived closer. Here's hoping you can convince your sister to make it permanent!

I think you can have that car, as soon as you've met your other goals! It won't be too long, and the Green Fairy will be driving the GRNFRY.

Inspire away! I could stand to get back in shape too and I don't even want to talk about how long it has been since I ran. Pinterest had a post that said "darn, I missed the gym today, that makes five years now!" Just sayin...=/

most people will start you off just a littel slower than SIX miles!! You sure she is not out to kill you! LOL!! But really you have nothing ot be ashamed of in your spandex! Wea re our own worst critic!! It is great to have SOMEOEN who will push you and be your sounding board! (and somethimes a husband is just not that person! LOL)

No sisters for me, instead I was blessed with 4 daughters and they are the ones who help me to stay motivated and encourage me to try new things...like Hot Yoga, how I dress etc.
oh that car would be perfect!!!

Most definitely can see you behind the wheel of the Hemi! Emily's quilt is stunning. It's easy to see that she puts her "all". Into her quilts. But what you add s the icing on the cake!
Snow Canyon Is certainly worth getting up at 6 am for. If I had a place that gorgeous to get my exercise I might take up running, too. lol
