So, I got me a new camera - not the one that I am dying to have, I still can't justify spending a ton on a camera that I could (well probably) lose and one that doesn't fit in Clint's pocket when we travel. Who wants to wear a camera around their neck wherever they go? Apparently everyone else but me because they have dang awesome pictures! Anyway - a cool feature on the cheaper camera, I can pick out a color in any scene and make that the focal point of the picture - cool huh? I thought green would be an appropriate color for me ;-)

What am I thinking about right now is how the heck I am going to get people to go over to my group pool on flickr and post pictures of the quilts they have made out of my patterns. I don't even know if I have set it up right, but if you have a quilt you have made using one of my patterns - then please, please head on over, join my group and post a picture of it.

I keep thinking that I am out of the loop with the whole twitter, pinterest thing - do I need to dive in or am I going to get way less done if I add those to my world of distractions? Facebook and blogging have me pretty much preoccupied - so what are your thoughts? Yea or nay on the whole twitter, pinterest thing?

One more thing, I may or may not be finishing up the instructions to a super, super cute quilt I just did up - seriously, so cute! It's a revamp of an older pattern and I can not wait to show you! I am battling a little tinge of guilt because I quilted an allover swirl pattern on it. Clint reminded me that I am trying to show off the design of the quilt, and not the quilting. It's really a tough call for me when it comes to my designs. I just hope you like it when I show it in the next couple days - or tomorrow if things go right!

I've got a twitter account, but don't really "get it". LOL Pinterest? I'm hooked. Those days you're lacking inspiration? Pinterest. Bored? Pinterest. Avoiding housework? Pinterest. LOLOL.

I don't do Twitter because it just seems silly and I don't have a smartphone. I love Pinterest but it's addicting. I really like that I have a visual way to bookmark things I'm interested in. I've tried several recipes and made a few thing from tutorial that I've "pinned".

Judi-I don't twitter either. I don't think it's necessary to tell everyone every little thing. Pinterest, I dabble in, but now there are stories going around about how it's copyright infringement and you can get sued for taking images and pinning them. One lawyer who did it deleted all her boards because she didn't want to risk getting sued over it, citing Napster as an example of what could happen to you. So maybe not Pinterest.

I wouldn't worry about it! Do whatever you think is right for you and your family. People will love you for the decision and sadly, some people will not. But that's OK--it's what's right for you!

My Cannon has that feature and I have taken some pretty cool pics that way! One of my fave was a pic of a friends kid who has the most AMAZING blue eyes and BOY did that feature make them POP!!

Have you seen the new Nikon? It's like the size of a point and shoot with lenses you can attach like a DSLR. I've always been a Canon fan, but it is totally my camera crush right now!

I would say NO STAY AWAY from those things, because you are doing very well on your own. I love what you are producing. I found those things to be very time consuming and frustrating, it takes a lot of time.

You are amazing!
Thank You for sharing!

I've found that my time on Facebook has slowed down seriously - I may get on there once a week now - because blogging and quilting takes up so much of my time. Pinterest is a very useful tool for keeping track of tutorials and ideas that you want to go back to - a way of bookmarking by pictures instead of URLs. And I can't see that there's any copyright infringement - the owner of the pic put it out there in public in the first place!

I love Pinterest but don't ever use Twitter. Pinterest is my new file cabinet. I can pin anything and put it where I want it and it is there whenever I want it and I don't have to search for it. But be warned, It is Addictive!!!

Twitter doesn't intrest me and I thought Pinterest didn't interest me either. Was I wrong! Pintrest is great for inspiration. I usually check in once a day to see what's new.

Twitter...not for me. No one needs to know I'm grocery shopping or at the doctors. If they do, it's just sad. The Pinterest thing is fun on a cold wet rainy day. Lots and lots and lots of great ideas, recipes and stuff you may want to try. Don't use it much but it is fun to poke around and find some inspiration.

I can't be bothered with twitter a total waste of time I think. I like Pinterest and as Pat says it is a great filing cabinet for things you might want to find a later date then I don't have to bookmark everything.

I don't Twitter, I haven't gotten into Pinterest either and I'm barely every on Facebook. My life, my kids, my quilting take up so much time already. I'd rather be sewing than spending even more time in front of the computer.
