First of all, thank you to everyone who wished me a "Happy Birthday" last week. I had a great day, I worked a booth all day, but it was so fun. I got to meet a lot of fun people, a couple of you bloggers (what a treat) and I got an awesome birthday gift, besides my husband spoiling me.
So, I had the opportunity to go the awards ceremony and "Joe the Quilter" was the entertainment. He was interesting (funny at times), but I think they need to remember to get to the awards sooner than later, everyone was there to see what they got!
You can see me on the left of the screen walking up to get my 2nd place ribbon for the edge to edge competition. My quilt "Grace" took 2nd place! What a birthday present.
Here I am with my quilt and ribbon, it was great. The only crazy thing is that I spent about 3 hours quilting this quilt and threw this quilt into the competition at the last minute and got a second place. The other quilt I entered was 30 hours of quilting and a lot more work and I didn't get anything. I talked to the lady who got "Best of Show," she spent 500 hours on her quilt, so I won't complain. One day, when I have more time (ya right) I want to be as good and as patient as her.
Well, back to the reality of real life, it was fun to have a break away and enjoy talking to quilters and getting to know other designers. I got to spend the days with my Mom, she was there the whole time and I was so grateful, she kept me laughing.
Thanks to Clint for spoiling me for my birthday and Mother's Day. I hope everyone had a good one. Take care! I am back, hurray!

Congratulations ,are you still on a high? I used to do craft fairs and loved it, and my work was very often puchased by people who had craft shops. Now my work is more hobby but I do still sell occasionally----cottonreel------------belated birthday wishes
Hi, belated birthday wishes and congratulations on your 2nd place, you must have been really pleased if you only threw this quilt together goodness knows what you could produce in 500 hours, but then your quilts are always lovely.
Congratulations on your win!
Isn't that ironic? I mean, 2nd place after a last minute decision like that?! Congrats! I still think the other is gorgeous and is a winner! Your booth looked fantastic and inviting..wish I could have been.
Congratulations on your win! Yeah! And welcome back. I hope you had a good show and sold a lot of things.
I did a post yesterday that you might want to check out. The Quilt Pattern Shoppe is run by Daniel Purcell (son of Bob/Heather of Superior Threads). He's got some great ideas, and would be easy to communicate with. In fact he is moving her this summer. If you do decide to work with him, let him know I sent you his way.
Congratulations again on the award! You so deserved it. It was really nice to meet you in person. I think I was meant to go to this show just to meet your mom. She said some things to me that I really needed to hear. It was good to talk to someone who's been there and done that (in regards to having a missionary). May I use the pictures of your quilts on my blog to blog about the show and send some people over to your blog? If you'd rather I didn't I understand and won't use them. I saw a sign that said no pictures when I entered the show so I didn't take any pictures. Cindy
P.S. I showed my daughter the Butterfly Mania pattern that I bought from you and she loved it!! I'm going to make it for her daughter for Christmas. I better hurry if I want the quilter to have it done in time, LOL! (She's had my MIL's table topper for almost eight months now that was supposed to be her Christmas gift). This is shy I need a long-arm quilting machine! LOL!
Sheesh, make that "this is why" not "this is shy."
Congratulations on your 2nd place!!!
The new one is resplendent in similar colours my bracelet, inspect it: www.katagyongye.blogspot.com :D

Congrats on your ribbon! Your booth looked great too! I love the flower quilt (maybe even a little more?) But both are lovely, job well done....
Beautiful quilts and your both looks so fun. I wish I could have been there!
Hey Judi! It was great to meet you at the show :) Glad I got your newsletter, now I can add you to my reader as well! I have a pic of your first quilt on my blog :)
How fun Judi! Your booth looks fantastic! And it was fun to see your picture :)
Congratulations!! Your quilt looks fantastic!!
Congratulations! I love that flower quilt! I didn't realize that it was yours when I was looking closely at it and taking pictures of it, or I would have complimented you in person, while shopping at your adorable booth. :~) I didn't really "get" Joe. I was quite disappointed after hearing so much about him.
