Randomness is the best!

So, even though I have a smile on my face I feel like my head is going to explode most of the time. There are so many things that I want to do, but all those things have to be put aside and wait until the things that I get to do and have to do get done! Does that make sense?

I get to machine quilt for other people and I love it. I have the swirls down, but I am scared of feathers. Any hints on that part? I know I know, practice Judi, just practice!

I have feet thankfully and I get to use them each day to chase my little kids around the house.
Can you see the butterflies on my big toes? My husband gave me a gift certificate for a pedicure, I think I am hooked!

Peek a Boo! Here's a "Get to!" I get to take care of this sweet baby boy!

I get to enjoy older quilts, the ones where you put them together without a sewing machine. I am thankful for these quilts, but even more grateful for my sewing machine and my long-arm.

I get to enjoy beautiful flowers. I love the hyacinth, it is by far my favorite flower. The smell alone makes me so happy.

I get to put together wonderful fabrics into fat quarter bundles.

I have to ship off your orders from my website. I don't mind, but the postman might because he has to pick them up at my house each day.

In the end I am happy and grateful for all the things that I have to do and get to do. I am hoping that one day I will get to all the "want tos". The list keeps getting bigger!

  1. Judi, I know exactly what you mean. There are so many days that by the time I get the things I need to do done, there isn't any time left to do the things I want to do. I get very frustrated but, like you, I hope that one day I will get to do the things I want to do first and the others can wait for a change. I enjoyed reading your blog, thanks for sharing...Kathy

  8. I really enjoyed your post today...and yes, that little boy is adorable. Just think, you get to enjoy your family and have a job that brings you great pleasure. Can a person really have it all?

  9. The get to's seem so rewarding that it makes the want to's even more exciting to get to.
