A little nervous.............

Okay - so I have never really been in a front of a huge group of people before - and when I have been in front of a small group of people I turn cherry red as soon as I start talking. So, when I was asked to do a trunk show at the Panguitch Quilt Walk I thought, no big deal, I just have to have my quilts out for everyone to see. I could handle that - but then I learned that I actually have to get up in front of everyone and talk about myself and my quilts - CRAZY! Wish me luck - and if you happen to show up to see me turn cherry red - come and say Hi!! I will be doing the trunk show on Friday June 10, 2011.
I will be teaching two classes as well - so sign up! It's going to be so much fun!

This is my first class - Carry All Tote - and I will be teaching it Friday night during the quilt walk.

This is my Memory Table Runner and I will be teaching that Saturday morning during the Quilt Walk.
So, come on over to Panguitch, Utah in June and have a wonderful time. It's going to be way fun. And - follow Claudia's blog because she will have updates and highlights until the show in June.

Pictures and my Giveaway over at Sherri's.............

First off - click on over to my giveaway over at Sherri's - you'll be glad you did. Then come on back to look at this quilt.

Sometimes backs are just the best. I love the back of this quilt so much that I decided to just post the pictures of the back - and I will save the front pictures for another post sometime.

This quilt was a simpler custom job - not as much detail - but I think it turned out great.

Tools of Sanity..............

I don't know why I haven't purchased these cool tools until now -

but HOLY COW! (Yeah - I'm from Utah) I love them! I have always figured out my thread tension by just feeling the pull on the bobbin case, but lately that hasn't been working. I don't know if it is because of my new rotary hook or not, but now I won't live without a TOWA bobbin tension gauge. I got mine at Superior Threads for $67.95, pretty good deal - plus I live close to Superior - so I didn't have to wait for it to be shipped to me. There are two styles - so make sure you get the right one. For my A-1 it's a M-style gauge.

Okay - I-pod shuffle - totally necessary to block out the noise and distractions (I create my own distractions) during my few hours of quilting while the kids are sleeping. I also use the I-pod to go running.

So - now I am totally committed to these tools - won't live without them - and I am also committed to running this. I have registered and everything - 20 weeks to become strong enough to do it. Wish me luck!
