****Giveaway Closed****

This is a tale of two scissors. I was asked by dear sweet Kelly to participate in a blog hop and when I found out it was for Famore Cutlery - I was all in. I had the choice of what scissors I wanted to review and what else would I choose? Well, of course curved quilting scissors. The deal is, I have been using my curved scissors from my manicure set. It wasn't until I tried the Famore 4" curved scissors that I realized I haven't had a good pair of scissors. I was dealing with thread shredding and I could not get as close to the thread start and stop point. What did I expect? I was using the same scissors to cut my baby's fingernails.

The curved shape is ideal for cutting super close. These little babies are sharp - no thread shredding here. They cut through thread like butter and I have had so much fun having a real pair of scissors to use.

Another look at the thread/scissor closeness. What I love about the curved scissor is how I don't have to worry about poking into my quilts - that's a big deal for me.

The points are nice on these scissors as well because I can take out stitches when I make a mistake. All in all - I love these scissors. No complaints here and they are only $12.00 - so inexpensive for an awesome pair of scissors that are perfect for the quilter!
I have one more pair of these lovely little scissors to give away - you will love them! All you have to do is leave a comment telling why you need them more than anyone else and you are entered into my little giveaway!
Don't forget to check out these other blogs this week for more fabulous reviews and giveaways!

I need these more than everyone else bacuase everyone uses my scissors and I can never find any sharp ones!
ReplyDeleteokay, so maybe I'm not quite using my fingernail clippers to clip threads, although my current snips are about that clunky, and getting very dull. I need these scissors so that my quilting will be elevated to the next level!
ReplyDeletemmmmm, isn't " I WANT them " enough?
ReplyDeleteyeah, I WANT them too! ...ooh I love a good tool! Thanks for the give away!!!
ReplyDeleteI never knew these existed! The little tails I get left with really annoy me, these would be the perfect solution
ReplyDeleteOh these are wonderful!!
ReplyDeleteI only have one pair of scissors, and they are the huge kind that I use to cut fabric. So having a smaller pair for thread would be like heaven!
Thank you for a wonderful giveaway. :D
I need these scissors because when I move to my second machine I forget to take my scissors with me. I need a pair at each machine. Happy Quilting Liz
ReplyDeleteThey are a good price! I have to admit, scissors were not on my list of priorities when I started quilting so could really do with some good ones now. Thanks for the chance.
ReplyDeleteI need them as all my scissors are missing apart from a large and useful pair of shears for cutting wadding.
ReplyDeleteI have a nice little pair of blue handled embroidery scissors that I use, but they aren't curved and I'm so afraid that I'm going to cut my tops. I would LOVE to win these! Thanks :)
ReplyDeleteI have never seen suchs a sissor before, did not even know they existed. I would love to try theese out because I feel I never come close enough when cutting my treads. Hugs Jofrid
ReplyDeleteCos I use my little 'stork' embroidery scissors to cut MY nails! Ooooh!
ReplyDeleteJust because I'm me! lol
ReplyDeleteI don't know that I need them "more" thananyone else, but I sure would like to have them. Mine are pretty dull in comparison. I promise they would have a good home here.
ReplyDeleteThey would make my life and the way I have to shape my hands to get to the thread with scissors so much easier when I use my embroidery machine to change colors. Mine are over 12 years old.
ReplyDeleteSomeone used the tips of my last good scissors for something they oughtn't, and the tips no longer meet - rendering them useless for this sort of job!
ReplyDeleteWhen my niece was small she answered all "difficult" questions with "Just Because!" I find her logic quite reasonable, perfectly unquestionable. So......I need the scissors more than anyone 'JUST BECAUSE!"
ReplyDeleteWow!! I REALLY need those gorgeous scissors!!! I am sewing up a storm and have make-shift pointed scissors that surely need to be replaced..... Count me in on your generous giveaway... I would love for them to live in my craft room...
ReplyDeleteTake care, Faye
I need them more than anyone else because they would cheer me up in these grey winter days in a very sad Hungary!
ReplyDeleteI've never thought about using curved tip scissors as an addition to my sewing projects. I thought they were just for nails! How clever!
ReplyDeleteOh yes please they would make it so much easier when I cut the thread of my applique, I have never thought of buying curved scissors and I think they would be perfect.
ReplyDeleteI would love to try a pair so I can recommend them in my classes too.
I always use a pair of Ginghers and am afraid I'm going to cut my fabric!
ReplyDeleteI have been looking for a great pair of curved thread scissors for a while now! I hate using my straight scissors because I am afraid to snip my quilt. I have done that a wee bit before! Great giveaway!
ReplyDeleteOh I could REALLY use these scissors. I machine embroider and sometimes I have to stop and clip threads while still in the hoop. These would allow me to get in close and snip the thread without harming the embroidery. I also like to snip my threads when I FMQ, these would be great to use. Thanks for the great giveaway.
ReplyDeleteI had never heard of them. I checked out their line and I think I need a new pair of scissors! Thanks!
ReplyDeleteI can't say I need them more than anyone else because we ALL need good scissors and I think it is the one tool that most of us truly neglect to treat ourselves too. Who knows why??? I just know that I started quilting 4 years ago and have yet to buy myself GOOD, I mean REALLY GOOD scissors. In my bag that I carry my stitchery quilt blocks in to do the hand stitching, I am using a pair of sewing 'snippers' that were my moms, purchased from my 8th grade home ec. teacher. Go figure!!! Boy do I need a good pair of scissors!!! Thanks for a chance. Big Hugs...
ReplyDeleteI don't have any curved scissors and do worry about getting to close and snipping the fabric. Would love to give these a try! Thanks!
ReplyDeleteNever had curved blade scissors so really do need them. Scissors are so much fun! Good ones especially.
ReplyDeleteHave I mentioned I've taken up appliqué? Unfortunate, I find after stitching a piece down I'll have little threads hanging out :( Good scissors would be a blessing! Thank you for the chance at this giveaway!
ReplyDeleteI need them more than anyone else because I really need it right now!! Thanks for the chance to win.
ReplyDeleteI need these scissors more than everyone else because they will allow me to leap from tall buildings and conquer the world.
ReplyDeleteI never even thought about curved scissors but now that I have read your comments about them, I would really love a pair. Thanks for the opportunity to win!
ReplyDeleteI need them because old eyes can use extra help to cut threads close to the fabric.
ReplyDeleteOh My! I've never heard of these scissors!! I need them! Pick me! Pick me! I am a longarm quilter (for myself) and they look like they would be PERFECT. Besides, I live in the MIDDLE of nowhere and pretty much have to buy everything online unless I drive 60 miles! I don't mind waiting ;)
ReplyDeleteI need them because I only have these little plastic emb. scissors and because my DH and I are both currently unemployed it will be quite awhile before I could afford to buy anything extra.
ReplyDeleteI have never used a pair of curved scissors before, and it sounds like I've been missing out, so I'm sure I really need a pair!!!!
ReplyDeleteWhy I need this? I quilt a lot on my machine and a pair of curved scissore would make my day!
ReplyDeleteI'm a longarm quilter too, and I can't stress enough how wonderful it is to have the right tool for the job! I will probably buy them if I don't win them just because of your review. Who doesn't need a good pair of scissors to work with?
ReplyDeleteI need these scissors because the ones I'm using are dull and not curved and since reading your review I now realize I HAVE TO HAVE curves scissors. Thank you for a chance!
ReplyDeleteBecause any tool this great is a MUST have!
ReplyDeleteCurved scissors make so much sense! I don't have any so clearly I need some.
ReplyDeleteI am a very new quilter. I have a pair of storks that were my Mother's, however I was a very bad girl and used them to 'unplug' a glue bottle and mucked up the end of them. oops. My Mother was probably rolling in her grave when she 'saw' me useing them in this fashion! (sorry Mom) I have not gotten around to getting myself a new pair. I would love to win new ones! Bonus!!
ReplyDeleteI need those scissors more than anyone else because I'm just learning to long-arm and tools are critical!!! I don't have a pair of curved scissors so I'm using snips - can anyone say "danger zone"!?! And they're Famore - no brainer!!! Plus, I have a friend who calls herself the scissor queen because she says she owns more pairs of scissors than anyone else in the world, and I'm trying to mount a run at her crown! Any help will be greatly appreciated!
ReplyDeleteI'm just getting into mid-arm quilting and these look like the perfect scissors to cut those threads. Don't want to put holes in my tops.
ReplyDeleteI only have one pair of scissors and they are my large ones. Sometimes I use my kids old plastic craft scissors when I need a smaller pair! YIKES - I could use a pair of these! thanks.
ReplyDeleteI need these... my scissors always get nabbed by others and used on PAPER! Grrr. ;)
ReplyDeleteI would love a nice pair of scissors to use at the quilting frame, those look great. I'm using a cheap pair that I got years ago and didn't even think about how dull they are.
ReplyDeleteKaren
When your eyes begin to dull, it would be nice at least to have scissors that are sharp :)
ReplyDeleteI probably don't need them more than anyone else, but I can say that I'd sure like them! I bought a pair of thread snips on black friday, and UGH they are awful. So now I'm back to my old little dull ones. They've been reserved for thread, but I have put too many snips in fabric to count, and I'm always dealing with raggedy edges. These sound amazing.
ReplyDeleteOh, I don't have any scissors like that, believe it or not. I have some nice, sharp fabric scissors, but nothing like this. How great!
ReplyDeleteI really need those scissors ... the pair I have been using has a "nick" on them and that makes it hard to get a smooth cut. From your pictures I can see they would be very handy.
ReplyDeleteNice new nifty nippers would make quilting more fun :-)

I need these scissors because mine are from the Dollar Store!!! Need I say more? Thanks so much for a chance.
ReplyDeletevery cool scissors...I would love a pair of these, thanks!
ReplyDeleteoh my.....yes, I would so love to have these. Thank you for sharing. I too quilt and need a nice curved pair.
ReplyDeletegloria g. South Carolina
These would really help me from cutting the quilt! I have been know more than once to do this after I quilted it.
ReplyDeleteI need them because I don't have a curved pair of scissors! I've been using a tiny little pair from a tiny sewing kit from when I was a kid. And recently it occurred to me that maybe it is time for an upgrade...
ReplyDeleteI know how valuable and often sharp little scissors are used. It would be great to have these at my fingertips!
ReplyDeleteI have actually cut into my quilts before because my scissors were not curved. These would sure be nice.
ReplyDeleteAfter reading your review, I need these scissors because I don't have any real scissors either!
ReplyDeletethanks
Because I use my big sewing scissors for cutting threads and one day I'm going to cut into my project!
ReplyDeleteThank you for a wonderful review! I love scissors:)
ReplyDeleteHaving just cleaned up my sewing area, my hubby would look at my collection of scissors and say that I do not need anymore. However, what does he know?? I really only have 2 pairs that have not managed to touch paper thanks to my children.
ReplyDeleteI do not have any scissors this nice so of course I need them.
Thanks for the giveaway.
I love little curved scissors like this. Sadly my last pair became quickly dulled - I couldn't figure out what happened and commented to my SO that I was disappointed that my good scissors had let me down. He looked shocked and told me that they had been working really well to trim the dog ......
ReplyDeleteI need them more than anyone else because I use kid scissors to trim my threads. You know the safety kind. They work--sort of. Thanks for the chance to step into the world of grown up scissors.
ReplyDeleteMine are sadly in the "shredding" state, so I could really use a new pair!!!
ReplyDeleteWinning these would mean I would NOT have to keep tightening the screw that holds my 25+ year-old Ginghers together! A replacement of these curved scissors would be so nice!!! Thank you!
ReplyDeleteI need them for the SAME reason you need them. Curved is best when working on somebody elses top for sure!!! BTW-- love the quilting I see.
ReplyDeleteMmmm.... I live somewhere I can't even buy socks and underwear... Much less a lovely little pair of scissors. I would put these to good work.
ReplyDeleteWow what a great find! You should have seen the scissors I was using the other night. First ones too small (like 2" and then the next ones too big (8 " yikes!)
ReplyDeleteso those scissors sound like just the right ones!
LauraT
Well, I think I need them more than anyone else because, I don't have a lovely little scissor to cut the thread's while sewing my quilts.
ReplyDeleteKeeping my finger's crossed..
Have a sweet day, Elizabeth
I can't say that I need those scissors more than anyone else - But I REALLY want them a lot - lol
ReplyDeleteI have heard they are great scissors but I have yet to try them -
Thanks for the awesome Giveaway !!
I need them more than anything else because my hubs robber me every scissor, and if I would have one from you, he couldnt robber me a present! :)
ReplyDeleteTo be honest, I probably don't need them more than anyone else - but I need them at least as much as anyone else!
ReplyDeleteI can see where they would come in very handy for machine embroidery where you need to clip those tiny stitches.
ReplyDeleteI could REALLY use these scissors. All I have to use are the scissors that my husband uses to trim his beard. I HATE getting little whiskers on my quilts!
ReplyDeletebecause i am forced to use my seam rippers sometimes have to have these
ReplyDeleteWell, I too am positive that I don't have any nice scissors. I have thought about getting some but then everytime I have extra money... alas it goes to fabric, lol. I am reconsidering though because it does look really nice and it is unfortunately true that I have nipped a quilt.. or two. So it is funny that you mentioned that because I think that I should definitely get some scissors because it isn't great to have to fix a nip and it is super sad when that happens!!
ReplyDeleteI NEED these scissors because I don't have a pair like this!!
ReplyDeleteI could REALLY use a good pair of scissors. I had a pair that I just adored. Well I made the mistake of taking them on a quilting trip. When it was time to return home I forgot to put them in my checked luggage. Well we all know what happened after that. TEARS!!! :0(
ReplyDeleteUmmm.... if you could see the scissors that I'm using, you'd probably say the I need them REALLY badly--- maybe not more than everyone else, but certainly as much as anyone else! LOL My current pair was bought in the after school clearance department (at Wally World).. embarrassed to share this with the world... ;-) Thank you for the chance to win and by the way, the quilting in the pictures you posted--- GORGEOUS!!!!
ReplyDeleteI can really use a good pair of tiny scissors. I've been using a pair that came with my machine to cut threads. It's not curved and has gotten pretty dull over the years. Thanks for a chance to win!
ReplyDeleteI need them most because my husband has been using my current pair (£2-00 on Ebay)to trim his beard!
ReplyDeleteFirst of all, thank you for the giveaway and the chance. The reason I need it more than anybody else is because I don't have one and really love to try it after you mentioned how good it is on your article.
ReplyDeleteI don't do quilting too much, but do enough sewing for my little girl, and it will really help to cut off the little curve along the seam without cutting through it.
These look great- love the curved blades. Thanks for the review!
ReplyDeleteWell that is opportune. I have been using a pair of really sharp Havels and the point just nicked some threads on the quilt top! AAaaarrrrrggggghhh! Could be worse. Didn't know curved ones existed! So I neeeeeeed them!!!! Love your blog. I am a new long arm quilter. You are inspirational!
ReplyDeleteI need them because I don't have any like this! Really, can you think of a better reason? I've never used curved scissors in my sewing and don't even have any in my manicure box.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the chance at a giveaway! Love your blog. It's my guilty pleasure.
ReplyDeleteI've been piecing for a number of years but am finally taking the plunge into machine quilting. Any edge up would be great. Love the scissors.
Great review..great giveaway! I need these scissors because I wont be able to stop thinking about them. Thanks
ReplyDeleteI can't really say I "Need" them more than anyone else, but I sure would love to have them. I'm a newbie quilter and I'd love to start myself out right with the most helpful tools.
ReplyDeleteI could use some 'quality' scissors and these look fantastic... the perfect size too!
ReplyDeleteLOL...I agree with Linda....now I simply want them!!!!! |But everyone needs a good pair of scissors....me too!!!!!
ReplyDeleteThese sound wonderful! I really need to get rid of all my little tails!
ReplyDeleteI need them because the scissors I currently use at my long arm are not curved. I need an upgrade!
ReplyDeleteIt really sounds like EVERYONE needs them. LOL.
ReplyDeleteI don't know if I need them MORE than anyone else, but heck I do need them, to cut my threads and all :)
ReplyDeleteHaving nicked a quilt and clothing that I was sewing, I could really use these scissors! I didn't even know they made such a thing. thanks for the opportunity, Terri in BC
ReplyDeleteI believe that all of us super duper quilters need a really great pair of scissors regardless of our sewing abilities <3. I started quilting in my churches young women group. We made a hand sewn quilt with all the "old ladies" (which I am now) for a woman whom was home bound. We all make these great quilts with love for the people in our life's to show our love! Our quilts are an extension of us! A great pair of scissors is just what I need to continue a great tradition in my family! I am using my grandmothers scissors that I inherited from her when she passed and they will not cut butter. LOL
ReplyDeleteI need these scissors because I sometimes use my seam ripper to trip my threads and I now that one day it will spell "disaster" for me!
ReplyDeleteIs there anything nicer than a really good pair of snips? I'd love to have these scissors because my family seems to "borrow" all my embroidery scissors and then I never see them again! I have a chatelaine all ready to keep these safe and sound. They wouldn't be under lock and key but they'd be close to my heart!
ReplyDeleteokay...like I'll ever win a give away!! But I need these scissors about as bad as anyone because I'm constantly loosing mine. I would love to have some with a curve too!
ReplyDeleteI have the thread shedding too and need them badly. :} I am a beginner but need a good pair of scissors for sure. Thanks for the giveaway!
ReplyDeleteThose scissors look great. My curved tipped clippers are no longer sharp :( And now that I have a longarm in another room... my stuff seems to have grown legs (or is always in the wrong room)
ReplyDeleteI just need them!!!
ReplyDeleteThese look great! I could sure use some curved scissors so I don't poke a hole in my quilt accidentally cutting the thread. They also look great for clipping embroidery threads too!
ReplyDeleteI never thought of using curved scissors. It is hard to get close to the thread on the fabric to time off those little stick-outs. Curver scissors... sound like a great solution. I would love to win these!
ReplyDeleteBeing a retired teacher I thought 'What can you tell me about a pair of scissors that I don't know?'. Well. It seems I have been missing out on the benefit of curved scissors all my sewing life. I definitely need these scissors more than anyone else because I like to sew more than anyone else in the world.
ReplyDeleteI would absolutely love these scissors. Like you, I have never had a real pair of curved scissors to use. The look great. Thank you for the chance to win a pair.
ReplyDeleteI would love to have these wonderful scissors for my cross stitching. I've never heard of these and would enjoy trying them for my sewing projects too.
ReplyDeleteThanks for a chance to win.

I would love to have a new pair of scissors. I have bought a couple of new pairs this year but have given them away to a friend who did not have the funds to buy any. I think a new pair for me would be great!! Maybe selfish but fun.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the opportunity.

I could really use these. I let my husband borrow my sharp little scissors and I'm not sure what he did to them, but they sure don't cut like they used to. I hate it when I can't cut close enough or can't get a clean cut!
ReplyDeleteI probably don't need them more than anyone else, but that doesn't mean I don't want them and can't use them! It would be nice to not have to worry about poking a hole in my quilt!!
ReplyDeleteI need them because I've been using big scissors! I really need these for quilting! Thanks for the chance:)
ReplyDeleteI need these because everyone in the house use my scissors for lots of other reasons. I have another pair used strictly for fabric and thread but they are large scissors and it is hard to get the threads close. I have not bought myself anything for quilting and sewing for the last eight months trying to get everyone else what they need and I think it may be time to get myself something too.
ReplyDeleteI would love to win them as my children always seem to have found my scissors and used them to cut up paper...grrrr I'd keep these ones very safe if I won :)
ReplyDeleteI never win, but I am ever optimistic :-) I need one of these scissors to help avoid those tiny tails when you are cutting thread tie offs on a long arm. Always a challenge..
ReplyDelete... because I could really use a good sharp pair of scissors! I never knew about these!
ReplyDeleteI need these scissors more than anyone else because my curved scissors tend to shred the thread. I am making an embroidered quilt for my first grandchild and new scissors would be perfect for my needs.
ReplyDeleteLinda
YES, I DO NEED THESE SCISSORS BECAUSE PEOPLE CONSTANTLY RUN OFF WITH MINE! THANKS FOR SHARING!
ReplyDeleteI am drooling over these. Thanks for the chance to win.
ReplyDeleteI so need a new pair of scissors!
ReplyDeleteHmm I need these scissors because the other scissors I have around seem to have disappeared. I think the Scissor fairy is taking them away from me not why I don't know but that fairy has been very busy lately.
ReplyDeleteI lost my good pair of curved scissors on the airplane. I miss them and would really like to have these.
ReplyDeleteoh, my, i do deserve such fine sicissors for my thread clippings! with the points curv ing away, i'll not worry about sticking the points of my old scissors into my piece. thanx for the opportunity to win them.
ReplyDeleteWould love to win these scissors! They look like they would be great to work with. Thanks for the opportunity.
ReplyDeleteI so need these scissors. I won't even start telling you about the times I've snipped my fabric and cried. Thanks for the chance to win.
ReplyDeleteI really need these because I "want" them. :-)
ReplyDeleteI'm a long arm quilter, too, and it's so hard to get close enough when cutting threads.
ReplyDeleteI certainly don't need them more than the next person, but I would be very happy to receive a pair.
ReplyDeleteHmmm. I think BITING my threads off should qualify me. Please save my teeth!
ReplyDeleteDo I get the sympathy vote for taking my small scissors in for sharpening and getting them back where they are ruined (curved blades that no longer cut anything)?
ReplyDeleteSewCalGal
www.sewcalgal.blogspot.com
How about the fact that I don't have any REAL scissors. These would be great. Thanks for the review.
ReplyDeleteI tried to purchase these at my LSQ and they didn't have any! The gal there allowed me to try hers and it was scissor envy, no doubt! I'm using a pair of spring-loaded scissors that sometimes catch the fabric as they spring open, that's why i went looking for something new. yikes!
ReplyDeleteOh, I really do need them, lol. I have a pair that I got for rug hooking and love being able to snip close up, but mine got used by someone for something else, so they are not cutting nicely anymore and my edges are ragged.
ReplyDeleteDebbie
I'm not sure about the 'more' than anyone else part, but I sure could use them! I've poked a hole in a few tops trying to clip a thread, and I have just about lost my mind trying to be careful now! :o/
ReplyDeleteThanks for the chance!
I don't have ANY little curved scissors. These sound great. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteI need these little curvy scissors so I can cut my threads with ease...thanks for the giveaway...
ReplyDeleteI need these scissors so I can be like you! :D
ReplyDeleteIf they are good for taking out stitches, then I really need them. I spend a lot of time 'frogging' at the longarm! Just wishing to quilt like you...thanks for your inspiration.
ReplyDeleteI don't have a pair of curved scissors and do hand quilting. These would be great for hiding the tails on my quilting!
ReplyDeleteSandy A
I would love to have the scissors more than anyone to help with my embroidery. I could also pretend to have a longarm and be blessed with your quilting abilities.
ReplyDeleteI NEED these scissors! I do not have a small pair of scissors-only my large set and I constantly in deep fear that I am going to damage my quilts!
ReplyDeleteAmy
abcsemartin(at)yahoo(dot)com
Judi I would love some new scissors. I love your quilting it is just amazing, I think to myself how do you do it.
ReplyDeleteI need them because I'm still finding little threads on a quilt I made 3 years ago. Clearly I needed sharper scissors or ones that could cut closer.
ReplyDeleteI want these scissors because they have to be better than the 6 for $5 set that my mother bought, and the small, dull, pair that I get to use. Tightening the screw isn't working well. Cutting thread with my scissors is like gumming steak, it's a shredded mess. Besides, I know you cut lots of thread so they must be really good scissors.
ReplyDeleteLove the scissors. Wondered why I still have little threads even after I cut. Must be the scissors need replacing
ReplyDeleteI need the more than anyone because I need all the help I can get
ReplyDeleteI know everyone else has a similar problem...whenever anyone in this house needs to cut something, they grab my scissors! I have had several pairs ruined. They cut paper, they cut hair, they cut tin foil, they cut carpet, wire, you name it! Boy do I need these fabulous Famore scissors! Then I can quit using the old hair cutting scissors for my threads and piecing! LOL
ReplyDeletei sure do need it more than anyone bc i don't even own a small sewing pair!! i've been trying to get along w my huge chunky fabric scissors
ReplyDeleteI could use a good sharp pair of scissors and, who am I fooling, I keep misplacing the ones I have...somewhere between by my machine, ironing board, cutting table, and my favorite chairs for hand stitching.
ReplyDeleteI would love some curved scissors because I have actually cut my real quilt trying to snip threads!!!!Acckkk!
ReplyDeleteMORE than anyone else??
ReplyDeleteI've a 70x70 quilt more than half quilted when I discovered the batting hadn't been properly processed! ack!!!
So I am now frogging this top, slowly meticulously so... Curved scissors would be much safer and sharp scissors would be much quicker.
I didn't even know there were special curved scissors for quilting. I really need those! I've been missing out!!
ReplyDeletemegromeo@gmail.com
Oh, it's been so long since I got a really good pair of scissors. Probably since I started sewing. I would LOVE those!!!
ReplyDeletebrookeali(at)hotmail(dot)com
I really really really NEED these scissors. I dropped the pair I own now shortly after I purchased them. So they have a dull point & are wonky. I'm sure these scissors would be a lot kinder to my tired old hands. Thanks for the chance to win these.
ReplyDeleteI'm still using a pair I purchased about 20 years ago and lets just say I don't cut with the tips anymore.
ReplyDeleteAwesome scissors! your quilting is so inspiring. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteI need them cause I don't own a single pair of small scissors and a friend just asked me to make a quilt for her daughter. I want it to look great and these would sure help.
ReplyDeleteI need (big word) theme....because you are living way to far from me, so I have to learn to do machinequilting my own quilts and using good tools (these scissors) will help (hopefully)a lot. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteKind regards,
Marga♥
My husband uses mine to cut his fishing line with -- I have to keep going out to the boat to get them and they are sooooooo dull. Great away :) Thanks
ReplyDeleteWe in hungary in a little country town I couldn't have so clever things.
ReplyDeleteI just wondering how good when u could buy nice things to improove your quilts.
These will help me! :)
Thank you:)
Krisztina
I hadn't thought of using cuticle scissors for cutting threads. Always have little pieces left on my quilts so I really the scissors. Again I have to say how much I love your quilting!
ReplyDeleteI could definitely use these...I just sliced a hole in my new paper pieced pineapple quilt (it has over 14 hundred pieces) while snipping threads!
ReplyDeleteBecause I've been told by my friends that I don't have enough scissors. Have to keep up! I think that they don't respect my 10-year-old never-sharpened scissors that saw through thread as much as actually cut it...
ReplyDeleteHow have I been quilting this long and not heard of these babies? I would love a chance to win them!
ReplyDeleteNice! I could use a pair of sharp scissors. I bought a pair of cheaper ones and they don't cut very well unless you hold them at just the right angle. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteI need these scissors more than anyone else because I do not want to cut into (GASH!)any of my quilts as I trim threads off of them. Thanks for the giveaway!
ReplyDeleteI need these more than anyone else because I left my good snips with my mother as she didn't have any good ones.
ReplyDeleteI want these scissors - and I would hide them from hubby and grandkids so they won't use them and dull them - all of mine are sooooo bad.
ReplyDeleteI need these sissors more than anyone else because right now I use the sissors my son used in kindergarden. I have nice rulers, rotary cutters, mats, thread but cannot make myself buy a good pair of sissors.
ReplyDeleteMy scissors are SO bad that I almost have to saw through the thread to get them to cut! That's a sad state I tell ya!
ReplyDeleteFor the life of me, I can't think of one good reason why I need these scissors more than anyone else. Desire maybe.....
ReplyDeleteI need them cos I haven't got a pair of curved scissors and my life is obviously not complete at the moment!
ReplyDeleteI need these scissors more than anyone else because I am making 6 twin bed quilts this year, one for each of my kids. Nothing would improve the look more than a nice pair of curved scissors. I've been using my spring action Fiskars to trim all of mt threads. I have managed to nick the fabric. Please pick me!
ReplyDeleteI have been trying so hard to get in my practice on my long arm while teaching my husband how to use an embroidery machine and every time I turn around he has my scissors. I could really use a pair just for me
ReplyDeleteI would love to win these as I would give them to my daughter-in-law who is a new quilter.
ReplyDeleteI would love to win these as I would give them to my daughter-in-law who is a new quilter.
ReplyDeleteI would love to win this pair of scissors. I really like your website, as well.
ReplyDeleteI need these scissors because Mine are DULL!
ReplyDeleteAll I can say is earlier today while watching TV, I was dealing with a mistake, taking a long border strip off. When the thread I was removing became long enough to cut the only scissors available was a blunt end scissors from when my kids were in pre-school. It took several tries to get it to cut, shred, certainly not snip the thread. I really need to get something better to use when not in my sewing room! Thanks for the chance at your giveaway.
ReplyDeleteI would love to win these scissors. I'm still using the snips that came with my Gammill 4.5 years ago and they aren't curved either.
ReplyDeleteHi Judi,
ReplyDeleteIt is so nice to have the right tool for the right job and have it work when ya need it. I find I get less frustrated and enjoy the process more.
Thanks for giving the Famore Scissors a try...I'm so glad you like them.
Smiles,
Kelly
I so love your work - I'm awed by the quilting you do. You are very talented. I read your blog when I get free moments and need inspiration. Now for the giveaway....I love to do tiny piecework and these would be PERFECT based on your comments. Why do I need them more than others - well - I've never won a blogland give away before....
ReplyDeleteI need anything that will make my work neater!!!!!!!1
ReplyDeletewell all I can say is : I have just gotten my new longarm and haven't even set it up yet. I need everything that goes with longarm quilting! Is that a really good reason?
ReplyDeleteThanks for the opportunity. I love your quilting and I know it will be an inspiration to me.
I would love to add this great looking little scissor to my collection. I have found I have a bit of a scissor fetish - everywhere I go I look for scissors and have received scissors from others travels. I use the long arm at work seldomly but am finally quilting on my Pfaff, even trying free motion. Since I like to bury my threads, this would be great for trimming. What a great way to trim without cutting the fabric.
ReplyDeleteI believe they would be perfect scissors for all of my applique and stitchery threads. They need help too. Thanks for this opportunity. Judy C
ReplyDeleteMy thirteen-year-old daughter asked me for her OWN pair of small scissors just the other day!
ReplyDeleteI'm so pleased that she's interested in sewing that'd I love to give her her own pair.
These look lovely!
I need it more than anyone because I don't have one. Just a big scissor and you imagine how hard it is.
ReplyDeleteI am always on the lookout for a really good pair of scissors. Mine seem to always disappear so I need a pair more than anyone else. My daughter often uses mine for her own sewing work. How can I refuse that?
ReplyDeleteI think I need these because I am forever loosing scissors. Would love to have the opportunity to give these a try. Thank you for the chance.
ReplyDeleteI am always losing my tiny scissors, too! So please pick me! Thanks for the giveaway chance!
ReplyDeleteThe scissors I use don't have a curve in them, and so I'm always scared of cutting my fabric... These would be awesome to own. Thanks for a chance to win! :)
ReplyDeleteI'm sitting in my recliner recovering from leg surgery working on a Valentine wall hanging. Now I've got bronchitis and NO voice at all. I sure could use these for my take along projects! Love the thought of a new pair of scissors!
