Happy Birthday Mom!

I want to take a minute to say Happy Birthday to my Mom! She is the best mom anyone could ever ask for. I am amazed at her life and all she has been through and her amazing strength through trials. She has been the best example to me and I love her so much. I wish I could be with her on this day, I moved away and took the grandkids, (I don't think she has forgiven me for that yet), but I just want her to know that I love her and I am thinking about her today.
So, here's a little bit about my mom. She is the wife of 1 and mother to 11. She has 24 grandkids and manages to make them all feel like they are her favorites (I do know that my kids are the favorite though:) Hehehe!!!
She is an amazing seamstress and taught me all I know, so I owe a lot to her in that area. She is so funny! She can make anyone laugh. I will never forget how funny she was at girls camp when I was a teenager. And instead of me being the dumb teenager that was embarrassed by my Mom, I loved how funny she was and how she made everyone laugh. Most of all I just love my Mom, she is the best and I miss her so much. The hardest part for me about moving away almost a year ago was knowing I wouldn't see my Mom often. I used to see her everyday almost. Now it's just when we are up in Salt Lake and that's not enough.
I miss you Mom and I love you so much! I hope you have a wonderful day!

One more thing, my Mom designs patterns too. She has been a quiet part of Green Fairy Quilts and has a few patterns. This is her latest one: Piecemaker's Dream.

  1. What a nice post about your Mom. I wished that I had that type of relationship with either of my parents. You are very blessed!

    Judi, you made me cry!
My daughters are 18 & 19 and I have told them a couple times recently that I don't know WHAT I'll do if they move far enough away that I won't be able to see them whenever I want...
    Happy Birthday to your Mom.
And congratulations to her on raising one fine daughter.
