iquilt filming recap

1
Hi there! It has been a while. It is hard to keep up blogging with all that is going on in my life, but I hope you are happy with waiting because I have had some exciting things going on.  I have had to keep a lot of my quilting secret because I have been working on 2 more quilting classes with iquilt.com
The above picture is from my "Progressive Detail Quilting," class and I know you are going to love it.

You will be learning this border and more background designs for applique quilts in my "Fabulous Background Quilting," which is my personal favorite of the 2 new classes. However, both classes are amazing and I really hope you enjoy them.  I will be sure to let you know when they are available for online viewing at iquilt.com

The best part of filming my classes was being reunited with my quilts from my second book, Secondary Designs with Judi Madsen - I haven't seen them since I sent them off to the publisher. Thank you AQS for taking such good care of them.

The filming took place in Nashville, Tennesee in a small studio with amazing people who made my week long trip more enjoyable. I always have a hard time leaving my family, but I was so busy working that I didn't have much time to cry.
5
I felt like the camera was always in my face, it made me nervous, uncomfortable and self conscious, but by the end of the taping I became a little more used to the idea.

6
Here's a peek of the back of the "Progressive Detail Quilting" class.  Just this picture shows you enough to make you want to take the class, I hope anyway.  It really is such a fun project.

Here I am with all my quilts from my second book. I can't wait to share all of the projects with you, it will be very soon. The book is at the printers now and we just have a few more weeks of waiting left. Hooray!!!! So, all of you who have pre-ordered a signed copy of my book, please know that the book will ship as soon as I receive them.

Say hi to Chris - he's amazing!  He's the camera/director/producer guy who made my filming experience so much fun.  His wife Jen, is a sweetheart - I feel like I have made lifelong friends with them both - it is too bad we live so far away.

After several days of filming and staying in the studio all day, I really enjoyed the first sunset in Nashville I was privileged to see about the 4th night there. You know me, I love sunsets.

Tianna is an amazing makeup artist.  She is so talented and made me feel really beautiful because of how she did my makeup and hair the whole time I was filming. It was so natural, but made me look like my best self. I am so glad I got to know her a little better this time around.

Here's a little sneak behind the scenes. The project on the screen is amazing!  I can't wait until you see the whole thing!  Just watching the skill of each person working a camera, capturing my projects so beautifully was so much fun for me.  I am grateful to each one of them for sharing their own talents and creative minds.

And Elaine! - what would I do without you?  She is an amazing producer who is so organized and because of that, made the whole week flawless as far as the timeline went.  It would not have gone as smoothly as it did if I didn't have her taking the reigns and organizing my unorganized creative brain.
Thank you Lanie!

Here is most of the crew I worked with all week.  Amazing people! Thank you Elaine, Chris and Jen Conder, James and that other guy - haha, I forgot your name, please forgive me, I am terrible with names.

So, while you are waiting to take my next two classes for iquilt.com, be sure to take my Quilting Makes a Difference class.  It is available online as well as in DVD form for those of you who would like to just pop it in your own DVD and watch it on your big screen tv - gee, that's terrifying.....You can order it here.
