A little MIA going on here.

Hey everyone!  So sorry I have been a lame blogger as of late.  I have been extra busy with writing my second book and I just got back from a family vacation to Oceanside, California. It was a much needed break from my relentless schedule this past month.

I was hoping to keep this blog up, but it is so hard now.  I am sure most of you know how hard it can be to keep everything up, especially writing.  It is amazing how social media like Facebook and Instagram can take over and blogging ends up taking the back burner.  I miss the days of quilting, sharing and talking about my patterns and all of the other fun quilty talk that I have written on this blog through the years.  This year is going to be so busy for me, but I hope that in the future I will be able to calm things down and get back in the studio to spend time creating and sharing more on this blog like I have in the past.

I have to say that I feel extremely blessed with the successes I have had with my quilting adventure and I thank God everyday for all He has given me.  I had no idea what life would be like now almost 8 years ago when Clint and I started this adventure together.  I still feel like I have a hobby that is currently on steroids. Hehe. But, in the midst of the many blessings, I have felt overwhelmed and stressed.  I am sure that many of you can relate because life can be so full of things that need to be done.  For the most part I have felt that I have kept a balance.  A balance of God, family, quilting, teaching and everything else that comes with this life experience.  I feel a little unbalanced right now with the deadlines looming and the teaching circuit coming around the corner, but my plan is to get through the next 6 months the best I can.  After that I hope to take it a little bit slower and enjoy the journey more.

Thank you all for following me and for your words of encouragement.  Thank you for buying my patterns, my book, and my iquilt class.  Thank you for coming to meet me and take my classes as I have been able to travel around the country and around the world.  It's been amazing and I keep going because of all of you.  Because of my demanding schedule right now I hope you understand why it has been a little silent around here, but I want you to know that I am thinking about you readers.

In the meantime, you can follow me on Instagram and on Facebook. If you are just looking to just follow my quilting and everything that goes with it - my Judi Madsen artist page is the best place to be.  If you want a more personal view of my life, then Instagram (@judiakagreenfairy) is where you want to follow me.  I share my faith, my family, quilting and travels there.  I thought about separating my Instagram account, but for me, my Instagram account is where I want to share who I am, not just share my quilting.

I will be sure to keep you up on all the major events and news that comes in.  I hope to be able to share the cover of my second book soon!  I will let you know when my book will be available for pre-sale.  I am pretty proud of it, and I really think you are going to enjoy the projects I have for you.  They are fantastic!

We'll talk soon!  Thanks for listening.
