Flower Patch QAL Quilt Top Finished!!

 1
Okay, so I started this project back in June and I was so happy that so many of you joined me with my first Quilt Along.  It has been a low key, make at your own pace kind of project, but I have still felt the need to get mine finished.  Now I just need to get it quilted!  For those of you who are still working on yours, or would like to still make your quilt - please do.  I have the PDF version of my Flower Patch pattern still on sale here.
I won't get to the quilting for a couple months because of other quilts that need to be finished first, so I appreciate your patience with me on that if you have been waiting to see how I am going to quilt this top.

 2
I used 1 layer cake and 1 jelly roll for the quilt top.  Angela Yosten's Flats was my fabric of choice and I love how it turned out.  I have an equivalent of 4 jelly roll strips left of my fabric, so this pattern really uses most of the layer cake and jelly roll without much waste.

When I first designed this pattern I just loved it.  I love flowers and to transfer that love of flowers to pieced blocks is just too fun!

4
This happens to be my favorite color combo and block.  The red and orange are just so great together.

5
It was a stretch for me to add the grey into the quilt, but I do love it.

So, how are you coming along with yours? Share your pictures on my Flickr group here.

Very cute Judi, I think one of my granddaughters would like this. I look forward to seeing how you quilt this.

Ooh, I love how you used green ric rac trim for the flower stems! This quilt top makes me happy -- and no matter how long we have to wait to see it quilted, I know that whatever you do will be worth the wait.

I resisted joining in when you first introduced the sew along, but seeing this lovely quilt again, I just had to jump in an purchase the pattern. I'm thinking batik fabrics....

Judi, I like your color choices and I can't wait to see how you are going to quilt it. I am glad it won't be for a while. Hopefully I can piece mine on time for the quilting. I have been so busy with moving, and with customers' quilts I haven't started it yet. I started cutting the fabrics though and hopefully one of these days I can sit at the sewing machine and just piece. I can dream.

Sooo glad this is a relaxed sort of QAL... Really want to do this one as I so admire your quilting, but suddenly got really busy and didn't manage to do it yet.. With a couple of months till the quilting I might still manage! YAY! xx

Love that pattern! I'm sorry I just found your blog, or I'd have been making one too. Maybe after my move and once I get settled in my new place, I'll be able to start one!

Really cute and will make a nice little girls quilt. I bought the PDF version and printed it 11" x 17" which makes it easier to read since I'm a little older now! Love the service you guys provide!
