I have caught the bug - the Downton Abbey bug. My mom introduced me to this series when I went to the Cabin retreat with her and I was going crazy because I had to wait for season 2 to come out. It's been a tough wait, but Clint and I have faithfully been watching this season every Sunday night on PBS when the kids are in bed - he won't admit that he likes it, but at least he will watch it with me. So, if you haven't been watching it - you should and I found it on Amazon for $19.99. Have a great week everyone!

I need to learn more about it. It seems to be the thing to watch! Thanks for the tip :-)
ReplyDeleteI watched it a couple of times and couldn't 'get into it'.
ReplyDeleteI have the whole series of Little House on the Prairie , Ann of green cables & Dr Quinn Medicine Women that I love to watch.
I pleased you have found something to chill with.
Love it! I think you can also watch it at PBS.org
ReplyDeleteOoh! I love Downton Abbey! I was so upset this week! I won't say why just in case people haven't caught up yet. I really enjoy seeing how each set of people (divided by their class/economic station)seems to have their own group of problems/issues/trials/joys/happiness. Each group seems to think they have the worst of it but only a few seem to grasp that they're all in the same boat (life!).
ReplyDeleteI just caught the bug from Jennifer at Ellison Lane Quilts--naughty! Season one is on netflix!
ReplyDeleteWe live quite olose to the property they call Downton Abbey...it is called Highclere and it is near Newbury in Berkshire, UK. Lovely programme..we have had season 2 here already! It is very popular over here too.
ReplyDeleteI love these British features....will have to look into it.
ReplyDeleteOh, I just love British drama series. I'll have to look for it!
ReplyDeleteI'm hooked, too! I was able to get Season One on Netflix (streaming) and have watched Season Two online when I workout. Keeps me on the elliptical longer:)
ReplyDeleteI just bought Season 1 to watch on my iPod, but I haven't watched any episodes yet. I can't wait, though!
ReplyDeleteOh gosh, we both LOVE it!!!
ReplyDeleteI watch it on masterpiece theater online and season one is on netflix now- yea! I have to say though that Cora makes me a bit crazy (as well as many of the other characters), but all in all you just have to love a good period film! Did you see 39 steps with Rupert Penry-Jones? That is worth a see as well! Oh and the new Sherlock Holmes is pretty good too.
ReplyDeleteRight there with you. Love Downton Abbey!
ReplyDeleteI follow "Period Movies" on Facebook and she is on top of things Downton! I watched the series online before Christmas with links she posted.
ReplyDeleteShe covers other period movies, of course. But I also enjoy the links she had to interviews and articles about Downton Abbey. I hope you can check it out!
LOVE Downton Abbey!!
ReplyDeleteI too caught this bug! LOVE this show!
ReplyDeleteI am hooked on it too!
ReplyDeleteMe too!! I remember putting it up on Netflix while I was quilting and by the 3rd episode of season 1, I was hooked. I watched it Monday night on line since our PBS station airs the new eps on Sundays and we were watching the big game.
ReplyDeleteWhere have I been? Gonna check it out...thanks!
ReplyDeleteAll my friends were raving about this, so I borrowed it from our library and, guess what, my ordered copy is in the mail. ;-)
ReplyDeleteDownton fills the gap left behind by "Monarch of the Glen"
ReplyDeleteMy mom and dad are hooked on it. I watched two episodes with my dad while visiting him. And now I"m hooked! I need to go back and start from the beginning!
ReplyDeleteShirley Maclaine is going to be the American grandmother (Cora's mother) is Season 3 of Downton Abbey.
