Introducing Baby Noah!!

If you have talked to me lately you would know how stressed I have been with trying to catch up on quilting and this baby was not to come until I was ready! Well - he had a different idea and just couldn't wait. He was due on the 29th and I had him the 10th. I am so glad he didn't wait because I love this little man. He's a wonderful addition to our crazy house and we are so grateful to God for blessing us with him.

Me at the hospital with Noah - you won't see my face because I looked awful after a natural birth. Why natural? I kept asking myself that and telling Clint how stupid I was, but for some reason I wanted to know what it was like. It's painful - and epidurals are awesome. So - I won't be telling anyone they have to go natural - only if they want too. But - since I went natural I won out on the name - Noah Clint - and I get a $750 dollar shopping spree - that's half the difference in cost of an epidural which I went without. Just so you know - Clint didn't expect me to go natural to save money (we are self pay patients) but he did promise me that I could get a shopping spree if I did it. I would say that I was going to buy fabric, but I am in desperate need of new clothes - I will wait until the baby weight is off.

Here he is in his cradle - we didn't have that ready because I was sure I wasn't having him yet and had plenty of time to get ready. I was in denial about having contractions since Sunday.

Here he is with me on my bed. I have parked myself here and haven't left much. Clint was great about taking charge today and last night. He's a great Daddy.

His feet are so cute. He is so lovable. So far he's a great eater and he only cries when he's hungry.

Here he is with my oldest Lili - she has been really cute with him. The perfect older sister.

Jonah used to be my little guy. He's so huge now in comparison to Noah.

Thanks to everyone who wrote on my last post by Clint with congratulations. I am really thankful for your sweet compliments and great advice. I am going to just take a week or two to myself and this little guy. I hope you will understand.

  15. I went natural because I hate needles and the THOUGHT of them putting one near/in my spine for an epidural??? EEEEEEK!! But hey! I didn't get any $$$ for it! I will have to talk to my hubby about that.
Congratulations again, he is so sweet.

My daughter was born on the 10th of November and she is a genius. Just sayin' :D

  19. He's so beautiful, Judi - but then so are all your kids!! I had mine naturally back when "real women don't have epidurals!" was the mantra - plus there was no way they were sticking a needle that long in me! My daughter told me I was an idiot when she had my granddaughter.... ;-) Enjoy your shopping spree!!

  23. darling baby - and just think, in a mere 20 to 30 years they'll be all grown up! congratulations to you!

  24. Oh, he's so adorable! Cuddle and enjoy him all you can! They truly do grow so fast. I had an epidural with my first that only worked on 1/2 my body, the second baby came so fast it didn't take effect until after she was born, so with #3 and #4 I went without an epidural to save the money so I don't really know what it's like to have one.

Your other children are going to be such big helpers with this baby. It's amazing how much they can help out. Now, go enjoy that baby and have a great day!

I love the name Noah (same name as my grandson)
I'm so glad everyone is healthy and happy.

  38. Lovely!
Epidurals and interventions just leave you stuck in bed afterwards! I had my 1st two kids w/o anything and was walking aroung 30 minutes later. My daughter had different plans (failed epidural, emergency C...that surely would have cost a self-payer as your self over $10000!)
    Congrats!

  59. What a gorgeous addition to your lovely family. I love the name Noah. I had my babies "naturally" and I know how much you deserve your shopping spree! Bye for now, Sandy. :-)

  60. Judi, he a beautiful addition to a beautiful family. You take your time and rest up. Let yourself be pampered for a bit. While your resting you can think of what your going to spend your 'hard earned' shopping spree money on. I had both of mine natural but it certainly wasn't by choice. We didn't have epidurals 40 years ago and the blocks they tried were not very effective so totally natural it was for me. Your right, it is painful, but look at the wonderous blessing your holding in your arms just minutes after without a thought of the pain anywhere in sight. Big hugs and God bless...

  61. Yeah! For baby #4!!! I am SO excited to hear how it is for you guys. We have followed you with each child, so I'm glad you guys are testing this number out. Let me know if I should even entertain the idea!!! He looks darling, and we love his name. Really, we have liked all your kids names so far! Way to go natural! Amazing. I've always thought you were totally impressive. We love you guys and can't wait to meet him in person!! Hopefully Christmas??

  62. Jude,
I love him already!!! He is stink'n cute, and your a freak'n amazing. I love that idea of the shopping spree...I'm just saying it would be good motivation for me...perhaps I can talk Roy into the same kind of arrangment. I'll call you soon and we'll talk. LOVE YA!

  63. Natural is the way to go, I say! We needed to save the money too, so we went with a homebirth. Ain't no point in begging for an epidural. ;)

He looks like a cutie pie, and cuddle with him all you can, they grow way too fast. :( Mine is 5 months and 21 pounds and I just look at him wondering where my baby went.

  64. Awww Noah is adorable. What a beautiful blessing from the Lord. Congratulations and enjoy your little man :-) They grow up way too fast.

  69. Congrats! I didn't realize you were on number four! They are all super cute. We are having our first in January, and I'll take your word on the epidural. ;) Please tell Melinda hi for me, I haven't seen her forever, either. Thanks!
