Wendy's Sunflower Quilt

This is a quilt pieced by Wendy of Las Vegas. I had a lot of fun with this quilt!

Wendy wanted her sunflowers to stand out, so I did a lot of background fillers to make the sunflowers pop! I played with the big spaces in the centers and between the sunflowers to give the background new dimension. It was really fun, I love how this quilt turned out.

I love triangle blocks simply because I can quilt my feather stitch in them. I love that stitch! I will have to do a video on that stitch someday, it's so fun and it's all free motion.

Here's the back, and you can definitely see the stitching. I use the same thread on the top and in the bobbin because I don't want to have the pinhole dots in between each stitch by using a dark thread on top and light to match the back of the quilt. Plus, I think it is fun to see all the quilting. It makes the quilt two sided!
