Butterfly Quilt

Diane Johnston put together this beautiful quilt and trusted me to do the quilting.

As you can see I took on the butterfly theme of the quilt and ran with it!

These applique butterflies were so well done, I couldn't believe the quality of the applique. It was hand applique and it was perfect.

This was my favorite block. Hope you like it, I have been working on this quilt all week. Now I can breathe a sigh of relief and say, "It's finished."

I have to ask it is our Diane Johnstone from Australia?

If it is, she taught me to do applique in 1991 and I have loved it ever since.
She is wonderful person and I am so pleased to know her.

cheers
Christine

ps. she is from my neck of the woods

Oh my what a gorgeous quilt! You did a great job with the quilting, too! I love butterfly quilts and have one on my "someday" list. Just might have to move it up a few places! :)

Thanks for sharing!
