Giveaway! You're going to like this one.

So, I thought it would be fun to try something new for a giveaway. I have great products on my website and I think it would be fun to let one lucky person choose what they would like on my website with a $30.00 gift certificate! You can choose a quilt project.

You can choose a quilt pattern, or a few. "Checkered Flowers" is one of my all time favorite designs. It's perfect for strip piecing and machine applique, fast and easy is the best kind of piecing.

You can choose a fat quarter bundle, we have a great selection of fat quarter bundles on our site.

We also have jelly rolls, perfect for our "Strippin' Time" pattern.

So, here's the deal. Leave a comment telling me your name, where you are from and tell me what you would get and why you deserve a $30.00 gift certificate to my website. Be creative and make me laugh. Oh, and before you think it would increase your chances of winning by not telling any of your blogging friends, I am giving something special to the person that sends the most referrals to my blog for this giveaway. Share the news, blog about it, tell your friends to mention your name and good luck, you have until Friday night! Be sure to follow me if you haven't been already to keep up to date with my giveaways, promotions and new patterns.

One more thing, we are offering free shipping to anyone that purchases a pattern with their order from our website, just enter the code "pattern4me" during checkout.

Have a wonderful day!

I already follow you cuz I love your blog and your goodies. I think I would love to have the stippin time pattern. I have had my eye on it for quite some time. Now, with shearing alpacas, birthing, and preparing fleeces for the mills, along with group tours etc., I won't get to it until winter. But what a perfect project for a cold day.
I will talk you up, girl. You are the greatest.
By the way, I'm Linda the alpacalady from Nooksack, Wa. Yes, Nooksack. It's for real. It's an indian name meaning root eating people. The Nooksack Indians at the roots of a certain kind of fern that grew in the Valley here. Ooops, too much information. Pick ME!

Oh, if I won I would have to pick a fat quarter bundle. But it would be so hard to choose between the "Invasion" - to make something for my sweet little boy (it is so hard to find good boy fabric); "Snippets" to make a cool table runner for my mom; or "Wonderland" to make something fun for my best friend. Love your blog and your shop. Thanks for the give-away.

Oh, and I think I should win because I've never won a give-away. I enter all of the time, but no luck. I think it is because I have bad give-away karma. Perhaps I need to host my own in order to win?!?

(I will be bookmarking your cute blog!)

Hi, I'm Natalie from northern Missouri. If I win I would buy two fat quarter bundles...wonderland and fresh squeezed. Then I would add a pattern, either square chase or strippin time! They are both so cute! and such great prices! I probably don't "deserve" to win! I don't usually win anyway...but, it doesn't stop me from trying! I am having a birthday this week...if that helps! I would love to win though! Thanks

Oh, and luv2knitnsew sent me!

I'm Nicole, and I'm from BC. If I won I'd pick the Turtle Walk Quilt Pattern and a fat quarter bundle (I haven't decided for sure, but possibly the Lotta Latte bundle). I don't know if I deserve to win, but I'd love to because quilting is one way I can spend more time with my grandma.

Barbara Myltschenko said...

Hello! I'm Barbara from Brantford, Ontario, Canada. I'd leave a postal code but I'm sure that is too much information!
So what would I buy, a jelly roll of wonderland of course. But why do I deserve it?
1. I'm still new to quilting so cutting my own strips is a disaster!
2. I work at a non-profit organization which means I don't make a big corporate wage, but do a lot of good!
3. Come on, you know you wanna, pick me, pick me!

Simone de Klerk said...

Wow, Julie, what a lovely giveaway and what a lovely present for free shipping.
What would I buy with it? Well, last week I received two jelly rolls from my lower school teacher whom I've known for 39 years now and I would love to buy fat quarters to it (a bundle of snippets and a bundle of desires!) and then of course I would buy a gorgeous pattern, namely Brown and Pink Spring. And why should I get this gift certificate. Because I was named after Queen Wilhelmina, who reigned our country between 1890-1948. And OK, after my grandmother who was also named Wilhelmina. It is my second name.
Have a lovely week.

Robin (rsislandcrafts) said...

Hi, Robin from Florida. I would pick out some fat quarter bundles. Probably some robot fabric. I've cut my fabric stash at least in half making gifts for the family and friends. Hubby says crafting keeps me off the streets and off drugs...I think it is just cuz I stay out of his hair :)

tessahjake said...

I'm Joanna from Palmer, Alaska. If I won - I would totally get a jelly roll, because I love them can't wait to try a project with one. I think I should win because when you ship it to me you would be adding to my rather piddly stash and you could envision my dear hubby's face - he who can't fathom why I would buy more fabric home with no intended purpose...my beloved who has a touch of OCD, hates clutter and can not embrace the words "fabric stash." SO not only would your generous gift benefit my growing collection of "at arms length" fabric, it would be a learning tool for my hubby - that yes there are others out there like me. LOL - have fun picking. p.s. I appreciate your encouraging comments on my blog as I grow as a new quilter :)

Oh Judi...you are a hoot in needing a good laugh. I'm coming up empty on that one at the moment...I'm going to hit my 15 year old up for one of his clever one liners when he gets in from school. He always makes me laugh. I've been here numerous times checking in on you and the family. I think mostly what I want and I don't see it offered is a tote from you. :-) Yes, still trying. Maybe if I hound you enough? Oh...your not laughing.

Hi, here is Anita from Austria. Wow, another great giveaway! I already ordered from you last week some fat quarter bundles. I can't wait anymore, I want to see them!! So, I think I wood choose some of the quilt projects, or a quilt kit, or a jelly roll, or ...?? Hard work. Give me some of your Oreos, maybe my brain is working better with some sugar :)
Have a nice day!

Priscilla said...

I am Kristina from Hungary, and I would choose the quilt project because I love green and am desperately out if it, and these are just gorgeous. And I would deserve it because I had the most awful day of cleaning (a lot), shopping (not for fun), running around transporting the kids to their trainings, then to the doctor next town with 2 of my kids just to find that I left the paper that needed to be stamped at home, so I had to come home and go there again and now I have an awful headache and a win would surely cure me! :-) And I was so desperate and confused by the time we got to the doctor, that he was actually laughing at me, so I must be funny today :-)

I am JoAnn from Bellingham, WA - Linda B - the alpaca lady sent me.

I would take a fat quarter pack - because I don't have a stash. Really truly - there are 6 or 7 fabric stores nearby - plus there is always Walmart if you are in a pinch - and JoAnn Fabrics (nooo - I don't own it, but they were nice enough to name it after me LOL) - and still I don't have a stash. In one town we lived in there was JoAnn Fabrics, and Don's Donuts - you guessed it - my DH is Don - funny how we never seemed to get profit sharing reports from either of those stores. LOL

My friends keep threatening to take me shopping and make me buy more fabric - they say it isn't healthy to not have a stash. :-)

So if I had some fat quarters that aren't for a specific quilt - maybe they would be like seeds - and sprout up and grow into a stash (one can always hope).

I've just recently traded in my scrapbook supplies, for knitting needles and quilting supplies. Dang I wish I had all that $ I spent on scrapbook supplies in my hand again and I'd spend it all on fabric and tools!! I've knitted over 100 pairs of socks for family and friends. After finishing the Quilting series of books by Jennifer Chiaverini, my heart has been so touched by all her stories, I can't get enough of quilt making these days. I'd love to have the jelly-roll gift. I LOVE your blog and that your husband is also your best friend! It's great to have a supportive husband. Thanks, Barbara

Barb from Bejewels sent me! She didn't want to LOL. I'm Carla from Florida. It would be so hard to choose! I love them all, but I'm a fat quarter junkie. I have shoe boxes of them. I just look at them and seldom use them! If I do use them, it's because I bought 2. One to use, one to save. I need to feed my habit. Please let me have some fat quarters!

First, HOLEE sent me!!!

I am from Michigan - the state with the highest unemployment, I think, but otherwise is beautiful with some great native plants.

That green fabric shown in the picture is making me drool. My favorite color is green, but all fat quarter bundles make me happy. Right now I am making quilts for my cats and just for hanging around the house and anyone who wants one. I just keep making anything as sort of therapy to keep me calm!

I deserve to win because I work in a VERY HOT greenhouse and even though it is beautiful in there, it is unbearably hot.

Nice to meet you, I am a new blogger and learning about other blogs. Shogun

Hello Judi, I've never visited you before but Holee sent me over. She said I must come and see you! Now I have another blog on my 'favourites' list.

I am Rachel, I live in Alberta, Canada, I enjoy long walks on... ooops sorry, wrong website.
If (IF) I won, I would get fat quarters because I am always in need of fabrics to 'accessorize' quilt blocks. Plus FQs are so practical and useful for many projects. Why do I deserve to win? I'm really not sure I do. I have a room full of fabric, a number of unfinished projects (quilts, BOMs, clothing, etc.), and have been slightly unmotivated lately. I probably don't deserve it at all... but I'd sure like it! ☺

Take care,

Hi, my name is Elaine and I live in Texas. I would like to be considered for a gift certificate for fat quarters. I can't afford a fat quarter from my local quilt store (I wonder if she knows I own the store) and besides that they (omg, it's ME) don't seem to stock what I am currently in love with (since my spousal unit pays my bills for me and would have a cow if he knew I were to order MORE fabrics...since he still doesn't know I received $3500.00 worth of stock while he was out of town). Yes, I do believe I deserve this giveaway. Thank you, Elaine (thank you blogger for not inviting said spousal unit to open his own blog...omg, I can see it now...Lonely man seeks fabric hating woman who can make gravy...)

My name is Nancy and I live in Phoenix and if I were to win I would choose the green and brown fat quarter bundle. So why do I deserve to win- because we are looking to buy our first home. Ok he isn't really cutting me off, but I do feel guilty when I spend money on fabric that coule help out with a down payment. Thanks for the giveaway.

I'm Shelley from northern Maine and Barb sent me from Bejeweled. Now I know everyone here will say they deserve the GC, but really, it should go to me...I really really deserve it. I painted my sewing room last week and ever so slowly because of physical limitations, I'm getting things back in and organized...after many many years of dirt and catchall clutter....YOW! I would spend it on fabric most likely...some collection...I don't have a local quilt shop that sells by collection. Sure would be nice to have something color coordinated for me instead of agonizing over 'does this match' choices. I'm a follower and keep up with all your wonderful doings.

I probably don't deserve to win the gift certificate to your shop ( I haven't been a good girl this year ...ask Santa) but I am entering because I love fabrics ! Especially Free ones !! I would buy FQ bundles (since they match my body parts...or the jelly rolls since they are soooo tasty ...maybe a pattern to use them with ...ahhhh, so many possibilities. First I have to win...crossing my fingers in the land of Schnitzels & Beers!

G'Day Judi,

My name is Lucky and I would love to win your prize. I'm in South Australia and came via Tozz's blog.

I would so love to win your give away because......

I'm 46 this year and have just started sewing for the first time ever. Never used a sewing machine until 4 months ago. Grew up in the Australian outback and didn't have sewing lessons. So I'd like to win it because for a youngster I'm a few years behind all the clever sewing ladies.

Love your blog too. Am now following it too. :D

Shasta said...

Hi, I'm from Ohio, and would probably get some fat quarters, but I reserve the right to change my mind! Why I deserve to win, because my mother has taken up quilting too, and I need to stay a step ahead of her in terms of stash, WIP, finished quilts, etc. Hurry, she is catching up fast!

Hi Judi. I'm Nanette from Alpine. I love fabric as art. It is my passion. Do I deserve more fabric - probably not! haha But I do think I give fabric a very good home and I hope that my fabrics are happy with what I do with them. I think they care about me and are happy to be in my stash. I know that sounds crazy. You've got some really cute things going on here.

Jenna Z said...

Hi! I'm Jenna and I'm from central IL. I would use it toward the turtle walk quilt kit! I love kits because I don't have to think. :) I try to use any and all fabric that I happen into (aka that I don't buy) to make quilts for Project Linus and we always need boy quilts. That is such a boy quilt!!

If I win I would buy from your website probably the jelly roll, sooo juicy good. Pick me and I will be the happiest little stay at home mom in Oregon! Plus it will give me something to do...

Hi, I'm One Sheep and I came over from Linda B.'s blog. The quilted bag in brown and green is stunning! Mom's Day is coming, and she'd love the bag, but even more, working together to put it together. She's the sewing stitchtician, I'm the knitting stitchtician, but her eyes are failing so we work together on her projects now.

Hi, I'm Karen and I would love the Bleeker quilt project mainly because my mom use to say "He who dies with the most fabric wins!" I definitely want to win! Like my mom I love to buy fabric and then store it in hopes that someday I will quilt it up and give it away!

L. Jane E. said...

My name is Leah Eucker, I'm currently in Portland, but will be moving to Washington in August. I would LOVE a jelly roll, probably the Wonderland one. I really can't think of any good reason why I deserve it more then anyone else though. Everyone deserves good things. Hummmm....maybe I deserve it because I just got a kick butt new hair cut, or....maybe because I'm surrounded by moving boxes and would like to see more then cardboard brown, or...maybe because I'm slowly going crazy and need a little color therapy in my life, or...maybe because my little boy loves to "sew" with me and I don't have any fabric at the moment, or...maybe because I'm trying really hard to make you laugh and probably failing miserably. Yup, I think it's the last one. That's why I "deserve" it! Have a fabulous day.

Hi, I'm dillysnana from CT and I deserve to win because I only have about 100 projects in the works now and many more designs in my head and on paper. Can't seem to totally finish one whole project before I am looking for the next one to pick out fabric, cut out, lay out. So what's one more? I like the jelly rolls as I haven't experienced them yet and would like to add them to the mix. Holee sent me. Thanks.

Hi, I'm Ramona and I live down in south central, Kentucky! Judi, I've been following your blog now for a little over a month I believe. You've been a true inspiration. I have learned just about every kind of needlecraft but quilting always scared me! I've been doing alot of collecting of tools and things for the past month to actually plunge into this once and for all! The cutting of these little pieces and getting them to fit together is what has always scared me! Pattern wise, I think it would be smart for me to start out with a patch work purse like you have. I love the butterfly mania quilt also! I do have a bad habit of learning a new craft using the hardest pattern there is! It always came out good though! I guess a great way to learn all about it right away, lol Been searching around the internet for a couple of months now to learn about quilting. Everyone makes it look soooo simple!! I just sit there watching videos of them and reading about it and just saying, "Gulp!". Hubby glanced at your site while I was looking at it and I told him sometime down the road in about 20 yrs I'll be able to do what Judi is doing, lol I then read about charm packs, jelly rolls and cake rolls. They sure sounded appetizing! Was curious what in the world they were talking about so checked them out. Hmmmmm, didn't look to appetizing to me and am pretty sure they are very high in fiber!! lol I ordered a couple of charm packs, one was a moda and the other from another designer. The moda is the one I love! Soooooooooo pretty! Picked up the 1/4 presser foot that I read I really needed. Think I may have read it here by you. Was scared of using the templates and rulers to make squares and such and then I saw a video of a woman using a june taylor plate that had guide lines inside the template to cut. Bought one of those! Cut a few squares with it and they turned out perfect! I now come onto your blog daily and let me tell you...you have truly inspired me to really get into quilting. I know I'm going to love it and there are so many beautiful things to make! You have been a true blessing and I thank you. I love all your patterns (you are very talented) and love all your fabric. I could go on and on here typing but I don't want it to turn into a book and have it take you forever to read it! lol One more thing though.....you've asked readers to tell you why they deserve this prize. Well my answer would be....I did so many hours of research into quilting...was disappointed that I couldn't eat the jelly, cake and dessert rolls...that hurt the most! lol Throughout all the fear, gulps and no sweets but gaining true inspiration from your blog, I think I deserve a little bit here! lol I would love to try those two patterns I mentioned and get some fabric from you. Everything is just beautiful here. Well I better get leave you alone, wrote half a book already! You're probably telling me to shut up already! So have a great day and God bless you and your lovely family. Keep up the beautiful work you're doing. I truly admire it all from the quilts to the blogging.
Ramona

Hi! I am miniq and I would pick a jelly roll. I would get it and make a quilt for my wonderful neighbor who has taught me to knit. Well- what a discovery your blog is!! And just about the right time to discover it ;-)

My name is Sandra, and I'm from Melbourne, Australia. The cat that is sitting on my lap agrees with me when I say I deserve this prize. Why? Well, every time I see a jelly roll picture, I drool. And now, my cat is covered in drool. Buckets of it. So, she is requesting that I win this giveaway so that she may go and have a shower and stop being drooled on by her disgusting mummy.

Nice to meet you, by the way! And no, describing my salivary failings is not how I usually introduce myself to new friends :-)

xx Sandra

I heard about this site from my Aunt Barbara over at Bejewelled Quilts. I am Toni and live in DE. I guess I think I deserve to win bc I am at my wits end and could use a fun project. Waking up at 520 am to work out, then deal with 3 small kids while hubby is at work for 12 hours, and child number 2 who WAS potty trained seems to have forgotten where the toilet is. So I don't know if that makes you laugh, maybe one day I will.
I would get the strippin time with the cherry jelly roll, it is way cute. I am enjoying looking at the blog, it is so cute.

Hey Judi, fabulous giveaway!

Don't know if I deserve to win, but I would sure love to. Those Bleeker Street greens would certainly help to soothe my frazzled wits right about now. But you have so many other adorable projects to choose from too that it sends my blood pressure rising just imagining what I would do with any one of them.

I'm Judy from Lubbock, TX. I would like either fat quarters or patterns. I think I should win because I have three children in college at the present time, so my quilting budget is very limited. Quilting is my release of all frustrations, etc.

Hi, I'm Elaine from VA and Chris sent me by to visit you...and YEA she really does have TEN Children and a wonderful MOM and NEIGHBOR! The best behaved children with the most wonderful manners you'd ever want to meet! I was beginning to think my daughter was going to follow her footsteps as she had three children in three years--but says she's finished--the three year old had an identical twin which was loss in a miscarriage and broke our hearts, but then a year later she was joined with a precious sister and then a year later they were joined with another precious sister....I baby-sit them while she and her dh are at work so I get little shopping time and that is why I deserve to win if Chris doesn't...But between you and me Chris really deserves to win it...
If I were to win I'd spend the gift cert. on either a Jelly Roll or some Fat Quarters.

Stitched With Prayer said...

Hi Judi, I'm Nancy and I live in Utah...the Northern colder part. Well, you said be creative and make you laugh but I will be a little more serious. I am making a 'prayer quilt' right now for a close friend of over 40 years that has be in the U of U medical center with 3 brain aneuorisms for the last 4 weeks. They are trying to get her strong enough to survive removal of the last aneuorism. She will be in wheelchair for quite some time during her long rehabilitation. Shortly after her first aneuorism ruptured, her husband was diagnosed with cancer and is going through treatment and trying to care for her at the same time. I felt a 'prayer quilt' was in order. Her's is taken care of. However, two weeks ago, my sister lost her husband of 52 years (very unexpectedly) to a heart attack, and I am now trying to put together fabric for a second 'prayer quilt' for her. So as you can see, I'm having a little trouble with humor right now, though I do believe that laughter is truly a wonderful medicine. Anyway, if I was to win the gift certificate, I would probably select either the Liliana's Heart quilt kit with a little extra fabric to make a bit wider or the pattern for Liliana's Heart and some of the Lulu Fat quarter bundles to make it along with fabric for the borders. Though there are so many patterns I love, Liliana's Heart just feels like the right choice for my sister's 'prayer quilt' just now. Even though I've never done machine applique, I'm thinking it is time to learn!! It is lovely and the only problem I'm having is deciding which fabric collection would be the most suitible for a cheerful, but soothing large lap quilt. Well, there you have it. I don't have a blog to do referrals but I will certainly tell my quilting friends and family about your wonderful giveaway . By the way, I'm hoping to see you in Salt Lake at the HMQS (is that right?) if I am able to get there. You are going to be there aren't you? I've been telling everyone about your beautiful quilting and I truly hope to see your quilts up close and personal. Here's wishing good luck to everyone. Thanks Judi

I'm Karin from Georgia and I have a problem. I'm a fabric addict. I know, I know- who would think that of little ole me? But I cannot help it! I see fabric and I start to sweat, drool and, in true Southern fashion, develop a case of the vapors!
I would dearly love to be able to drool over a few fat quarters. Oh, I mean win some. :)
